    Thanks a lot for your comments. In my case, the bass is fretless and the noise there is not important but the bronze strings are not an option. I don't want hurt the fingerboard. I don't know what is the difference in sound, volume and tension comparing with the flats

    Hi everybody Recently I acquired a acoustic fretless (thanks Chris). Now the bass has a daddario Chrome's string set. It sounds good, but I don't know if nylon tapewound strings could sound more audible unplugged, without loose the deep. Please, give me your opinion and your experience. Thanks

    It's a Nardelli Basses body (http://www.nardellibass.com). Extreme light (4.5 lb, 2 kg). The neck is a warmouth maple fretless high gloss. Schaller '70 tuners. The pickups are Loureiro Pickups (a Spanish pickup maker http://www.jlguitars.com) hand wound. The neck pickup it's a split one. Totally balanced (in volume). Cts, orange drop, gotoh bridge..
