Wah woes

Hadn't received an email back from Red Onion so nearly took it apart last night, but this came up on ebay: Sorted and a half

Guild B302

Yeah I've seen them, didn't pay that much though! And my spector's got a big neck so no problems with that, just hoping the courier depot doesn't close too early so I can pick it up tonight.

Guild B302

Just paid for a Guild B302 and should be with me tomorrow, pictures will follow! I first saw one in the back of Bass Guitar Magazine (maybe 8-10 years ago??) in the 'unusual basses' section they had on the last page; love at first sight. Been close to buying a couple in the past but got my rent deposit from my last house back today and snapped one up Can't blooming wait

Wah woes

I won't mention what happened when I was routing out the body on my fretless to fit the electrics.

Wah woes

Nah, bypass switch will be easier and I won't burn my fingers/table (again) with the soldering iron

Wah woes

The fuzz switch is at the top right, to operate it the wah would be in the same postition as if I hadn't moved the switch so I don't think it would solve the problem. I'm planning to have the bypass switch below, wah always on so I can just tap the switch and step straight on the wah.

Wah woes

Nah, don't wanna go drilling holes in my pedal tbh - bypass switch is much easier!

Wah woes
I don't know, I think it's a great suggestion! It means you don't have to buy any parts.
But where the fuzz switch is it will mean to operate it the wah will be in the same postition as it is with the normal switch, so I'll still get the trebley 'gah' when I go to turn it off

Nah, the bypass pedal is gonna be much easier (to set up and operate)

Wah woes

So have the wah on all the time and switch it in/out with the loop pedal?

Wah woes

Love the tone from my bootzilla, but don't use the fuzz. Also when switching off there's a noticeable treble boost as the switch is at the top end of the wah. So is there a simiple fix or a pedal that has a similar tone? Would love one of the Morley ones with the auto switching but can't really afford/be arsed to buy and sell loads on if they're not right. For tone ref I use it on the 'mid' setting on the wah, fuzz not used at all.

EBS Fafner

Well cranked it (up to about 3 ) today at band practise. Don't really know how to describe it - amazing! Defined, punchy, gritty all in one. Don't think I've scraped the surface of what this amp can do and looking forward to having a play. In the 8 or so years I've had my Ashdown ABM300 I've tried replacing it with Hartke, G&K, H&K and a Tech21 but have finally found the one. Best thing is I've gone from pedalboard (compressor, TU-2 and wah) to just having my wah. Tidy.

Don't think I'll bother, as you say unless I take my amp to every gig I'll have to rewire anyway Cheers!

EBS Fafner

Been playing with my fafner (haven't cranked it yet unfortunately but sounding pretty sweet) and just wondering if anyone uses the phantom power for their active basses? Brilliant idea? Good but not perfect? Pain in the arse? I understand you need a stereo lead to use it, any recommendations (assuming it's any good)? Lots of questions...sorry!
18. Love my fretless, but only have the dots on the side so a bit scared about using it live! Gonna save it for some acoustic stuff with my singer in the summer I reckon, and maybe wear a head torch when I play
19. CGCF with Elite Stadiums 135 110 85 65, on my Spector which is 4 string 35" scale
20. Just got back from relieving Jake of his Fafner and Cab, he even came and met me half way - cheers mate! Pleasure doing business with you, can't wait to plug it all in and make some loud noise A+++++++
21.
Pah ! all this talk of the Blues, the real question is Can Blue Men Sing The Whites ? (Grumble grabs zimmer and hobbles out of the room before the younger members wonder WTF he means)
All I know is that I gotta mess my hair up, gotta make some noise...
22. Says 34kg/76lbs on the EBS site, but I don't know if it's the same model (sorry for 'helping' but I really want the Fafner!)
23. Bump! Someone take the cab please!
24. Gig confirmed for tonight! All good
