Getting rid of the pedalboard as I'm not using the wah much anymore. Snarling Dogs Bootzilla fuzz/wah - excellent condition has always been in a pedalbord. The only thing is I took off the little rubber feet when I put it in the board and can't find them now so... £80 posted, offers considered. Blue Onion (I think) loop/mute pedal - again in excellent condition, two switches one is loop on/off the other is tuner mute on/off. Had the Wah running through the loop so I could turn fuzz on and off without effecting the 'un-wah' sound. £30 posted, offers considered. Pedalboard - Is just a bit of MDF I sprayed, put some rubber feet from an old crybaby on and then drilled holes to zip-tie the pedals on. Worked a treat and goes in a Maplins case (included!). Nice and compact. £30 posted, offers considered. Will post up individual pictures when I get home, but for now: *Tuner not included!

Thanks! Had to dig the snare out a bit by EQing a bus channel of the overheads, unfortunate side effect was more cymbal but it's better that way than with no snare. IMHO

Ha ha, ta very much!

Recorded live in the practise room*, just a demo to get gigs but opinions more than welcome. www.shipofgold.bandcamp.com Thanks for listening and hope you enjoy! *Kick + 2 overheads, SM58 guitar/vocals, bass DI. Recorded and mixed in Logic.

Thanks Eric, been having a think and I reckon I'm gonna keep it battered. Frets definitely need some work though, and it's for keeps I'm all about the punch!

I've had my Guild for a couple of years now, it's a bit battered but all original (including electrics!) so I haven't done anything to it yet. Recently been thinking of getting it professionally refinished, possible fret dressing/re-fret. Just got a couple of questions; Would it be sacrilege to get it refinished in olympic white? (Currently tobacco sunburst) Any tips on the best place to get a spruce up done? (I'm in Sussex so SE/London) Thanks people!

SOLD SOLD SOLD Selling my EBS bass rig as a)I'm not gigging at the moment and b)haven't got a car so looking to pass this on. EBS Fafner and Evolution ClassicLine 410. The Fafner is amazing, 600w into 2ohms it can drive 4 8ohm cabinets (eg 2 1x15 and 2 4x10) or even 2 Ampeg 8x10s! Has never been out of the rack so excellent condition. Has been gigged but looked after (never been above 3/4, goes to 11!) and has a massive range of tones. Some reviews: Here 4x10 is from the clasic line which has a 'vintage' tone, goes well with the fafner and with the horn can cope with a lot of different noises. Both Sold

IMO it's easier to take stuff out, chuck everything you can think of on there and then start messing around with it.

How similar is the EBS Microbass EQ to the Fafner preamp?
-
So tried it out on Sunday at band practise - Bass Driver straight into a Mackie SRM-450 First impression was great, big sound and compared favourably to the Fafner at low levels. However I found the lack of adjustment (or perhaps my lack of experience with them) on the BD started to become a problem when trying to get the sound dialled in with the full band. Definitely needed a 'mid' knob. Played a couple of songs and it was passable but went back to the Fafner after a while. I think there's a definite potential, it's just a matter of finding the right speaker and the right DI, I'd quite like to try the VT deluxe as I think that's closer to the my tone. Gonna keep trying!

Of course, probably won't be until saturday now though

Think I'm gonna take my bass down to GAK and try the sansamp through a few active speakers, they've got the behringer cab mentioned in the article you posted but also a few other brands.
-
Would the Mackie TH-15As be equivalent to that Behringer cabinet? Don't know much about PA stuff
-
That interests me greatly, but been looking at the Orange Terror Bass as well! Need to have a play I think

Love my Fafner and EBS 410 setup but not gigging much at the moment and not loving having to lug it around all the time. Thinking of getting a Sansamp bassdriver and some sort of combo/monitor or poweramp/small cab just wondering what people think of this option/what else there is out there? Like a bit of grind in my tone, play Stoner Rock (detuned to C). Impressed by some Markbass rigs I've seen out there - hit me up with suggestions. Money is a problem, would hope to sell the Fafner and 410 for £800-£900 and have a couple of hundred left over after buying the new rig. Thanks in advance!
