1. I bought this bass a couple of years ago in the hope of reviving my fretless playing (which used to be quite reasonable) I learnt bass on a fretless but was drawn towards the darkside of frets and after some heart searching I've decided that I'm now just a fretted player and I have too many basses I don't play. It came to me as a neck and body but with no neck plate hence the spare Fender one fitted that I had in my bits box!. When I put it together I found someone had snapped a bridge screw off in the body and the neck had a slight warp. I had the neck professionally levelled/fixed and a new bridge and nut fitted by Joe White at http://www.jwhite-gu...orkshops.co.uk/ The bass is made with a Zebrano body and neck with a Brazilian Santos rosewood fingerboard. Baddass II bridge, Audere JZ3 preamp, D'Adderio nickel half-rounds. It plays really well, the neck is 1 9/16" at the nut, string spacing is 19mm at the bridge. Zebrano is a close-grained and heavy wood and the bass is around 11lbs. The tone is quite bright with loads of sustain. I've also got a generic case for it somewhere. It's from a luthier who is quite well known in Italy - http://www.arcangeliguitars.it Here's his Youtube promo video: What I'm looking for: Active or passive, natural finish, 5 strings, narrow-ish string spacing, Spector, Warwick, Lakland DJ5 etc, but I do fancy a Spector! - I have cash to spend for the right trade Or give me some cash - around £400 should do the trick Pictures:
2. According to the stats, nothing has been deleted since we turned on the new forum board, and as has been said, the ability to view deleted posts is of great value. The new board was deleting stuff totally, with no record of it. I'm just trying to figure out how we can put it back the way it was.
3. I've turned that off for a while as I'm trying to figure out why deleted posts and topics are not going into the trash can.
4. Completed a nice straightforward trade with Jon and have now acquired a nice black Jazz from him. - Cheers fella.
5. As soon as they release it, we'll be in a position to install it.
6.
This is still a problem for me, any chance of fixes/patches coming up soon ? Andy
I think IPB are acutely aware of this bug, amongst others. How fast they release a bug fix is sadly beyond our control, but to give them credit they do listen and respond to clients complaints and act on them.
7. On this version of the forum software a lot of the admin controls over avatar size and dimensions have been removed. It has been commented on by numerous people on the IP Board software forum and I expect a fix/update will be released in due course.
8. Hi Jake This glitch keeps popping up randomly - we've no idea why Easiest fix seems to be to change the skin / theme / template from basschat to IP Board using the button at the bottom left corner of the page.
9. It could be a database error. The creators of this forum software have admitted there are more than a few 'bugs' in it that they will be addressing in future bug fix/patches. If you remove it completely, wait for 2 days for the database to build itself again, and then try again it might take it? - but I'm guessing really!!
10. I've checked the settings - nothings changed and appears fine. You can't be near your upload/storage limit as they are very generous. Maybe manage and delete the attachment and try and upload it again? Iv'e just successfully experimented uploading attachments to my profile and managed/shared them through 'my media' into my sig.
11. Johannes bought a nice Lakland bass from me - good comms and prompt payment up front - Cheers!
12.
Bought a Lakland 55-01 from Colin which arrived today. Everything went fine and the bass was packed really well. Cheers, Johannes Finland
I'm always happy when a bass goes travelling and arrives intact! - enjoy it - it's a lovely bass!
13.
It's all a lot nicer to use now. Only problem I have is it's not keeping me logged in from one session to the next and Firefox doesn't recognise the password screen, so it doesn't fill it in. I'm on Firefox 3.6 with updates turned off, cos I hate what they did to it after that.
Sounds like a cookie problem? - Try clearing out the cookies and cache?
14. Please find out what your IP address at home is and PM it to me - I'll look into it further Thanks
15. Ahhhhhh - 'template' - I just wonder why when I searched for the settings it's not under 'skins' or 'themes'
16.
is there some sort of maintainace at 2 - 3 AM ? I sometimes log on then and it goes very slow and sometimes times out.
IIRC that's when the server backs itself up and rebuilds databases etc etc
17. I'll have a look. Have you recently changed IP addresses or had your router turned off for a while? I see your location is Israel - I presume you are working in Israel?
18.
When I post a topic, and go to new content , nothing appears
IIRC - That's because you have already 'read' it and so it is not 'new' to you.
19. The issue of uploading pictures/files has been resolved. If you are still having problems then please log out, clear cookies AND cache and log in again.

21. Hi - You must state an asking price - pictures help too!
22. As asked - You MUST state a price, please check the T & C - Thanks
23. Bass is now sold subject to payment - many thanks for enquiries received.
24. Still looking for cash or a nice Sunburst/Rosewood Jazz trade
25. I think 2am is when the website performs routine maintenance and rebuilds indexes etc, so it will slow things down for a while.
