I tend to agree. I spent most of a day in the Bass Gallery playing virtually every 5 string in there. I did have a budget to stick to but was so very impressed with the Laklands I tried that I really wouldn't have walked out of there with a much more expensive bass even if I could have afforded it. I think I preferred the 55/02 so very slightly over the 55/01, and the difference between the 55/94 and the 55/02 was similarly small. I still reckon the 55/01 has to be just about the most value for money / bang for buck 5 string out there. The [u]only [/u]other bass I tried that had a 'better' sounding B string was a Dingwall - but I don't get on with them.

Ask to see pictures of the frets............... I reckon it might need a refret?

Instead of doing an image link bb code to the image, just type in the url of the image, then the recipient can view it fullscreen.

There's a setting to scale the images in a post, but there's no facility to scale them in PM's. It may be tweaked in a future forum version release.

If anyone is on a dynamic IP address you might find yourself issued with a blacklist IP address for a couple of minutes, and then a good one and everything's ok again!

As long as whatever caused it has been dealt with, your IP address should be dropped off the 'alert' list soon.

[/quote] The IP address you are using is on a spam black list. The proxy host we now use will automatically challenge blacklisted IP addresses to make sure it's not being used by a bot. In a way the proxy is learning as it goes. I suggest you unplug your modem for 30+ minutes to see if you can acquire a different IP address.

I've just checked the boiler room - it's all fine here. I suspect it's our new proxy.
