3.
My long lost Sei is hands down the best bas I've ever played. It just felt very special. This seems to me like a very unique instrument and a personal spec selection.
It's not so long lost, its still here…. Bump for a super Sei !
4. Me neither……
5. Can't believe that this is still here at that price…….
6. Very nice bass, what does it sound like??
7. Is this sold or still available??
8. Is this the one that is still for sale in the Gallery?
9. Shep, what's happened, I thought the pedals were your thing??
10. These are great little amps!!
11. Gone Now
12. Bought a pedal power supply from Neil very recently….., what a super chap to deal with. As above, Neil sent the supply for my approval before accepting any money for it, brilliant!! Trustworthy, polite and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again Neil.
13.
Whenever a Sei appears, Ziggy is soon to follow.
And for good reason, as it's a cracker of a bass!!
14.
It wasn't my intention to question the quality of the bass, i own several Wal basses myself. So i am familiar with it´s quality of build. But you rarely see a Wal with, what i thought it was, the masking tape. Must have been a language problem. Always wanted one like these.
I never actually even gave it any thought to be honest, and it was only when i wanted to sell that i needed to check with Paul as to what the woods were. I'm sure when i took possession of the bass from Wal i had seen the lack of info on the tape, but never really thought much of it as i was at that time obviously thinking of keeping them both forever……which is effectively what i have done until now…. Just to reassure you all, it does have a serial number
15. Yes, there is a small piece of what we call "Masking Tape" which i don't think Wal have ever changed over the years on the cavity cover, but with no writing on it or signatures etc. There is the original "Electric Wood, Sandown Works……." address label on the shielding though.
16.
Very nice fretless. But does this mean there's actually no information on who ever build that bass?
Well, you could look at it that way, but my other Wal was built by Pete at the same time as this one, and throughout the build process, it was Pete i dealt with on the finer issues. I guess, regardless of who actually built it, i'm in no doubt that it would be very difficult to actually differentiate between the skills of the personnel there at Wal at that time, as I'm sure is still the case today.
