  1. For some really good live-studio recordings I've been really enjoying guitarist Martm Miller's page: https://www.youtube.com/c/MartinMillerGuitar He's produced some superb footage with exceptional audio playing everything from 80's mash-ups to playing through Dark Side Of The Moon live - and much more. Full band and guests.
  2. http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/effects/midi-mongoose/ https://www.thomann.de/gb/tech_21_midi_mongoose.htm?sid=37365a0a379b46bbbe455806d0b3cbde MIDI MONGOOSE FEATURES Three modes of operation: • Standard 9V alkaline battery (not included) provides a minimum of 200 hours usage • Optional power supply (Tech 21 Model #DC4) • Phantom power via the MIDI cable • Access 128 patches on any of the 16 selectable MIDI channels • Smooth-action custom actuators • All-metal housing • Large, non-glare LED display can be read from any angle, in daylight or darkness • Probably the world’s smallest manuals for any MIDI product • Size: 11.5”L x 2.5”W x 1.25”H Originally bought to use with the Line 6 Stomp, but my Helix LT has just been my go to! Comes in original packaging. Yes, the tin (that are no longer supplied with Tech 21 pedals) is unmarked! - Not that it makes any difference to the price, but its a nice-to-have, right?
  3. Official chrome tuning keys from a Fender American Standard Stratocaster. Right hand models. I took them off as soon as I got the guitar and put the equivalent Fender locking tuners on. Not because the guitar needed it, but because I hate changing so many guitar strings all the time. (I teach guitar and bass daily).
  4. A band like Vola would be amazing
  5. Gotta LOVE the 'Vool!
  6. Ahhh my first proper bass amp! Mine supported UK Subs, Sham 69, Captain Sensible, The Godfathers and many more! Super nice with a clean and balanced sound. Yeah, one day I might buy another!
  7. I will be asking if I can review these new cabinets in Guitar Interactive Magazine.
  8. @neilmurraybass my friend!
  9. Hmm, yeah, you know what, ok. Ping me a PM and I'll come up with a lockdown friendly price.
  10. If it's just a standard MIDI controller (That I believe it would be) then the Tech 21 MIDI Mongoose could well be the kind of thing you need. I have one that I don't think I've ever got round to using out of the house. Super small, lightweight. Could be the kinda thing you need?
  11. Gahhhhh it was never going to hang around long!
  12. Seriously people, stop selling such nice instruments at a time when I can't get an appointment to sell a kidney!!!

What scale length is the kidney?

  13. IIRC there were two octave effects on the MS-60B, one being a bass octave and the other a pitch shifter? Hopefully my memory isn't letting me down here, but the pitch shifter was so much better than the octave effect. Would you agree? Have I remembered correctly?
  14. IF anyone is interested in an overview of what various effects are and how they work, check out my monthly columns in Bass Guitar Magazine / Bass Player Magazine since January!
  15. Looks like my 76 (Mine is an early 76 with the nickel tuning keys)
  16. The GS112 cabinet is superb but it has a really scooped sound, thus you may find the magic P bass mids in it's brother the DB112 or similar.
  17. Attitude + Aptitude = Altitude Nathan East. I like this one a lot.
  18. I bet it sounds delicious!
  19. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. As above, I can't think of a solid state offering off the top of my head that must have a cabinet connected. I use my Berg' B|Amp as a pre and it sounds glorious!
  21. Same, Gregor's videos are engaging and entertaining.. oh and Frank Itt appearing? Yeah that's pretty cool too!
  22. Addicted to Bass by Puretone... errrr, because of course it was all about bass players...
  23. Look up The Princes Trust Concert, 1988, same band and lots of lovely Karnal Knowledge. Oh and check out John Deacon playing Mick’s bass with Joe Cocker!
  24. A respected member of the BassChat community, Andy has just purchased my EBS amp - a super smooth and pleasant transaction peppered with the usual bass gear chat Always good
  25. Heads only, in no particular order (because you can't compare them to each other), Bergantino B|Amp, EBS 802, Ampeg SVT 2, EA iAmp Classic, Marshall DBS 7400. The Berg' is my absolute number 1 though, it is a superb sounding piece of kit. I've decided to add some worthy contenders: Reidmar 750 is excellent, as is Genzler's Magellan 800. Also the GR Bass Dual 800, that is a beast of an amp.
