Andertons have one. But it`s attached to a fretless BB400. £300, go on you know you want to! https://www.andertons.co.uk/second-hand-yamaha-bb400s

Thats the problem with these European box shifter music stores. All is great until you have a problem and then you find out why they are cheap. I have an ongoing thing at the moment that hopefully will be resolved soon and I will tell all. And it might surprise you what I found out.

That 1100 is in amazing condition for it`s age.

I bought this recently but I`m never going to use it as no gigs on the horizon and I sold the head that I was gonna use this with. Really good condition just a small scratch on one of the corner protectors. I have the box so can post to UK only for £220 or if you can collect I will knock off the postage. Specs Size: 520mm (H) x 505mm (W) x 345mm (D) Weight: 17kg Watts: 300 Impedance: 8 Ohms Speakers: 1 x 15" BLUE LINE PRO NEO Horn: 3 Way Variable HF Driver

Macca must need the cash....

An excellent venue. And I have played through the Behringer / Ashdown set up there and it`s sounds decent. You might be able to get a copy of your gig on a flash drive as Alan? usually records the feed to the screens. We got one, I think it cost about a fiver and it`s good to look back on now that version of the band has gone t*ts up.

Is that the Dregnought Dave?

The Sire P7 has a Jazz neck and loads of other goodies. Not that I`m gonna get one from Santa....

That JB 2 at £300 is a steal if you are looking for a Jazz with P body.
-
I think the L2000 is 44 mm at the nut and the LB is 42 mm but both necks are your favourite "half baseball" neck I had the natural LB and it was lovely but around 10`lb`s if I remember right.

They take their 20% and the postage from you to them if they collect it form you, usually about £15

Bad bands - or - where are all the semi-decent musicians?
jezzaboy replied to Rexel Matador's topic in General Discussion
I`m no virtuoso bass player but if I went for a play with a band and the drummer was crap and they can`t even tune their guitars, I would be outta there. Some people seem to treat being in a band as some kind of social club, which is fine if you have no plans of playing gigs to a decent standard but if you aren`t on the same page, it`s never going to be satisfying. -
Day off today so just having a look and see what gear I can buy for not a lot of cash and came upon this. I actually do need something similar since I stupidly sold my Sadowsky di a few months back when I was going back to using an amp and cab but lack of gigs has scuppered that idea. Had a look and it`s bought for £35 delivered. Going to use it into my RCF speaker and see what happens.

Same here, a nice bit of kit and if I`m not mistaken I think this is the bridge on JJ`s Shuker?

Japanese Fenders now seem to go for around £750 to £950 so it`s a decent price and that one has a nice sounding spec. And who could resist a lake placid blue with matching headstock. Yummy!

I went for an audition years back and we were doing A town called malice. Well most of the band was, I don`t know what the "drummer" was playing but it wasn`t right and it threw me completely. I had to stop the song and tried to explain that it wasn`t right. The rest of the band couldn`t see what the problem was so I un plugged the bass, said I wasn`t wasting my time and walked out to the sound of my own footsteps. So yeah, we can spot a twonker of a drummer a mile away.

I thought that, getting a bit ditterey in me olde age! Great sounding bass that MD but a heavy lump. That BB, which was really nice btw, I ended up selling it to a member from Motherwell, who left it in his car after a gig one night. And when he went to the car in the morning, some scallywag had stole it so who knows where it ended up after that.
-
Andy. Just remind me. Did I meet you in the Tesco car park in glorious Parkhead a few years back and did a swap deal for your red BB?

Myself and rhythm guitar boy have had a lot of work done by Strung out. The girls are really friendly and won`t do work that isn`t required.

If it`s any consolation to you, recently I have been listening to the track Spirit of man from the WOTW sountrack and the bass playing is what really shines in this song. When you look back at some of the things Herbie has done, he deserves to be right up there with the bass playing greats.
