Not played a bravewood. But I've played 2 Limelights, and they were both lovely basses They were both great to play, and one of them was for sale. At the time, I really wanted it, but had to sell something else..... It's a huge regret, that I let it go - it sold very soon afterwards Mark will do a bass to your spec, and looking at his prices, I'd say you'll get what you want for £1k - or less Let us know what you decided - and post some piccies when you get it
I bought a double bass from gedomusik.de so I now call it überbassenbassen. Which isn't actual German but it makes me chuckle.
Uberbassenbassen - I like that lol

I'm now tempted to trade this combo for a small, lightweight bass head I'll be looking to sell my Phil Jones head in a month or two So I'm really looking for a head with 2 separate inputs / channels, as I use 2 very different EQ's when doubling up DB and bass guitar PM me with any trade possibilities - not really sure what's out there by way of small lightweight 2 channel heads? So WHY? Or could go for small head, and some sort of preamp (I have an A,B, Y switch) Cheers
I have a Limelight Precision with jazz bass sadle widht in fiesta red. Amazing sounding and playing bass.
I played one exactly like that (it was for sale on here a while back, and I should have bought it!) It was a superb bass. Mark will build you one to this spec I have a 2000's US P, and while the neck is not Jazz width It is slightly narrower than most older US P's, and certainly not as deep, front to back The Squier Classic Vibe P in Fiesta red also has a very similar neck, and it's amazing quality Have seen these go for around £250 second hand, and they're worth every penny of that I'm amazed at just how much necks vary in dimension, within the same basic model / design Good luck with your search EDIT: Having seen FuNkShUi's post above I now realise it was that bass I had played

Hi ColinH, Can't help you with the bass, I'm afraid But I just wanted to say, sorry this happened to you. It may have been a long time ago - But I bet it still hurts or annoys you. And I wanted to wish you good luck in tracking it down. I can understand why you want to do this It might be a long shot, but I'd urge BC'ers to check the serial numbers if they have a Squier of that age Cheers now Marc
If you think your Road Worn Jazz is a belter Marc, you will be besotted by this. A remarkable bass.
I know, I know. SO many nice basses around atm I just wish I could try the RW P and this What I want is a RW P, but with a neck like my Jazz Sheeesh. I just want the moon on a stick eh? This is such a nice bass though. I'm amazed it hasn't been snapped up The quality of the 2 Limelights I've played was amazing
TC electronic BH250?
I recently picked up a TC electronic BH 550 Really pleased with it. Around 300W of power with one 8 ohm speaker. Extra power (550W), for larger gigs, when used with 2x 8 ohm cabs It's small and very lightweight - and that's why I bought mine Didn't break the bank either

Buying a broken bass for repair - amateur repair with pics
Marc S replied to Wonky2's topic in EUB and Double Bass
If you do end up repairing this yourself - Gorrilla glue is really strong. And I've heard of at least one luthier who uses it. Though I would say, I'd be tempted to get a luthier to fix it, and set it up. The soundpost is vital - so don't put the bridge & strings on if it isnt in place. Re strings, that's a whole can of worms, and hugely more varied than strings for bass guitar. If you want to play pizz (fingers) rather than bow - I found innovation silver slaps were a good start. They're reasonably priced, low tension + I found them much easier tension-wise than steel strings. Can't bow them though..... As others have ssid - you can get 2nd hand strings on here too. I'd opt to spend a bit more and get an adjudtable bridge You can then experiment to find a better action / set up for yourself Most of all though - this is an exciting new journey. Good luck -

Hi iamtheelvy, Yes, I think it is essentially the same amp head, which is / was available separately.... It's a better version of the earlier Mk 1 head. A pal of mine has exactly the same amp, but with the earlier Mk 1 head Same great sound, but you have to be more careful with active basses, or it cuts out This amp handles active basses really well yes, I would be happy to drive to Bristol to meet up (I often go there anyway) Cheers
