I’ve got a Barefaced 410 and 210. The 210 has the impedance switch on it (4 or 12ohm) which I use on its own at rehearsal and small gigs in 4 ohm mode. For larger gigs I add my 8ohm 410 and switch the 210 to 12ohm mode which combined is around 4.6ohms I believe. Very flexible combination I find and sounds great.

I had this headache for a few years with 3 basses in different tunings. Ended up using 3 passive basses, 1 P bass and two PJ’s with identical pickups. There’s a slight difference eq wise when I use my P but overall everything sounds very even.

Just bought Dave’s custom COG pedal, great guy and any questions I had he was able to answer. The pedal came super quick and I’m very happy with it. Hope to deal with you again Dave 👍

Did a bass trade with Jon who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He popped round on his way down south, we had a play and the deal was done. He even bought me his beloved Warwick to have a go on as I’ve never tried one before. Genuine guy, no problems whatsoever. Cheers Jon

Hi Rob, no it was bought in store. However I feel that it was unfair I couldn’t return it on the 14th day. Hard to get a true representation of an instrument in that time especially with only two rehearsals plus I live an hour and half away. What’s done is done, you live and learn. Thanks for the heads up though.

Similar experience to above, bought a bass, tried to stick with it despite not getting on with it. I then emailed them to see if I could take it back on the 14th day to which they replied they’d already paid the seller. Thought you had a 14 day return with everything you buy nowadays. Safe to say I won’t be using them again.

The gear shifting continues, if you have read my other posts you'll know that for one my current band isn't doing a great deal and for another I have some big bills to pay hence the regretful sale. Two great cabs that aren't getting the use both still immaculate and include covers from Barefaced. The Four10 I've owned just over 6 months and the Two10 for about 4 months. Both cabs have done 2 gigs and very few rehearsals so I'd say they've hardly broken in yet. The Two10 also comes with the switchable impedance settings to run it alone or with the Four10 or another cab of your choice depending on the amp you have got. As before cash on collection is king or possible meet if not to far. Any questions drop me a message. Four10 - £700 Two10 - £500 Both - £1100

Currently shifting a lot of gear as I have some big bills to pay and the band has slowed right down and it's a shame for it not to get used. I've owned this for just over a year now from new when it was imported from Germany and in that time it has done maybe 4 gigs and a handful of rehearsals. There still isn't a mark on it. Its an all valve 400w beast based upon the old Hiwatt DR405, it's a super clean head but crunches up nicely should you feel the need. If my current band was doing more gigs I'd be hanging on to it but it needs to be moved on so somebody can get the use. Comes with a Roqsolid cover which I also had made for it. Cash on collection please or happy to meet although I'd sooner it be collected so you can test drive it. Any questions please feel free to drop me a messsage.

My stunning Stingray 5 in stealth black is up for grabs, I've just taken it out in the garden to take some pics and I really can't find a mark on it other than some really minor scratches (bucklerash) on the back but they are hardly visible. Even the film on the neckplate is still attached. Specs below: body: ash, neck: maple, neck mount: bolt on, fingerboard: Ebony, Inlays: dots, 21 wide high profile frets, nut: graphite, nut width: 44,5 mm (1 3/4 inches), scale: 864 mm (34 Zoll), fingerboard radius: 11 inches, pickguard: black, pickups: 2x Music Man® humbucking with Alnico magnets, electronics: 3-Band active preamp, controls: Master Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass, bridge: Standard - Music Man® chrome, steel bridge plate with stainless steel saddles , hardware finish: black, tuners: Schaller, matching headstock, incl. case, colour: Stealth Black, made in USA Unfortunately I have some big bills looming hence me having to sell my bass of the highest value, to be completely honest i'm also struggling with the narrow string spacing too with my sausage fingers. Cash is king with no trades however please don't hesitate to drop me a message but it would have to be of lesser value. I will not ship as have had problems in the past but would be happy to do a meet within reasonable distance. Original case included. Any questions please fire away. TRADES ADDED: Band situation changed, looking for a decent 4 string open to trade ideas.

Female bass Players? How many do you know of in UK?
28mistertee replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
The Amorettes and Syteria are the first two that spring to mind for me. Two cracking bass players. -
I too keep looking at Schecter’s, they look great, are reasonably priced and seem to be the ideal gigging tool. I have some nice basses but there’s always that worry taking them out that they are going to get trashed, stolen or beer spilt on them.
