  1. There are quite a few, and in real life it is even crazier than any of the videos!
  2. Its a 12" + 1" speaker. Mine has adjustable legs as I play loads of venues with uneven flagstone floors! It sounds very clear. But now I look at the ones above I realise I haven't put the badge on!
  3. Well, until I get gigging, this is what it looks like for testing (and until I get a cover for it). Apologies for the overhang for people who are triggered by that, but it actually fits better than the TC450, that doesn't clear the handle. There is actually a little cut in the tolex on the side, but if that is the price for shaving over £300 off the list price then I am happy with that. I suppose, yes, it is an 8 ohm so it is going to be lower powered into that. And like all things, your ears are a better sign of overload than figures.
  4. My smoothhound is my live gigging wireless, and much better than the cheap wireless I use in the house, but it is bolted to my pedalboard and uses power. The advantage of the little cheap things is they are just two plugs that plug in and don't need any other power or hardware. You can move round the house, change amp, change bass, and I can play with my battery amp.
  5. At the moment all the cabs are stashed away. It's against the TC450 or the CTM100. But I don't use the CTM often. Cabs are 2 x tc rs112s or the BC cab, which obviously create a little issue. The BC cab is 300:watt, the 112s are 200, both a bit underpowered for the ABM. Currently thinking that maybe selling the CTM and getting a barefaced twin of some kind might be good, but selling isn't a good time!
  6. I am similar, it wouldn't put me off buying one but handy to know ahead of time.
  7. The ashdown looks pretty good, but having played round with it yesterday, it's not something that is that good to me at home, so I'm only going to known when I am gigging!
  8. I guess hey never got round to employing any more
  9. Well, the initial delivery was fine - actually it was 2 days late but it was when everything was kicking off in the first lockdown so nothing was working right. It was then I notice the headstock was split, contacted them, they told me to take it back via hermes and there were no options. Dealing with them on a return is no fun. Other places I have returned to, Andertons and Gear4Music, sent someone around to pickup the item. I am happy with my replaced one in the end, but it took a really long time!
  10. you sure that wasn't the OP?
  11. Guessing he probably managed to work it out when the last post was posted 10 years ago 😂
  12. Yeh, they lost my EHB1505 when I sent it back. Well, I suppose to be fair it was Hermes, but they were no help
  13. The OP needs the money to get a camera obviously!
  14. Sure it will be fine, just a bit bitter of my couple of months dealing with them this year
  15. That would certainly be impressive if you could count on them delivering it
  16. Thats one heavy towel!
  17. you can get cabinet corners that only protrude slightly on the front edge. I got something from ebay for something I was working on that wasn't anywhere near as far forward than that. I wouldn't want anything protruding that much, not because I would be worried about my fingers, just because I am not that tidy and that could catch on stuff.
  18. I just use the Animoon cheepies (there are many with different names, but all looking the same), generic Chinese things. They weigh nothing, they are usb rechargeable, cost about £20. They are great for around the house. Or would be if I could remember where I put them!
  19. Its a 4 only though.
  20. So where is the TB75 then? Would it kill them to do a 5 string one?
  21. Apparently now I look according to the internet, someone claimed they did have active pre-amps in them, but they also worked without a battery (which would of course make that first statement seem unlikely). Either way there is a wiring diagram for an active passive switch. https://www.gearslutz.com/board/so-many-guitars-so-little-time/1125565-modding-epiphone-thunderbird-pro.html I so wanted a 5 string thunderbird I am still interested in the Dingwall (but I would have to hear it first)
  22. That would work - they are Gibson T-Bird pickups, just coils of wire which go to a blend pot, then to a volume pot, then to a preamp which has bass and treble. They are not active pickups.
  23. Was a bit surprised when it turned up today: Luckily it was the right thing, I guess they just ran out of boxes so used a hofner bass box!
  24. I would love a Gibson Thunderbird V and spent ages looking for one, but sadly all I could find is that studio one, which to me (like with you and the Epi), it isn't a thunderbird. I don't know why they never did one, except well, gibson and basses.
  25. Would add that today, Anytune have a 33% off on anytune pro for the desktop and iOs.
