Got the Mobius and it is capable of some incredible sounds, including many great ones preset from the factory that would take years to come up with oneself. It seems to have 100 presets, 50 from factory and 50 that you can create yourself. It took at least an hour to get up to speed with the very basics of what it can do. Sound quality seems excellent and it has some clever tricks, like the option to feed it, like this....instrument - mobius - amp....or like this.....instrument - amp - mobius...., if you plug it into the fx loop of amp and into the front. Of course you can place other pedals anywhere you like in this signal and change the order with the press of a footswitch on the mobius. very clever and useful. Size wise it's equivalent to 3 standard MXR boxes stuck together (with no leads in between) and the inputs are all top loading; so not a massive sacrifice of space given that it is equivalent to at least 12 different modulation pedals and endless combnations of the same. It runs of standard 9v DC Boss type jack, but needs isolated minimum of 300Ma current to run at its best. I haven't dared try it on less current or in a daisy chain; but Strymon do not recommend this action. I've only had an hour of playing on top of an hour of learning how the thing works; but so far it's a big thumbs up.
Glad you're loving it I've played the Flint, which is the tremolo / reverb pedal and it had some very well chosen tones on it. Must be creative guys at Strymon. Have fun with it!

How many basses have you bought off the Basschat marketplace?
Chiliwailer replied to Highfox's topic in Bass Guitars
I've bought two from here. Man that number could have been so much more! -
That is a really nice looking P bass. Good luck with the sale. A am every much liking the bumps with the old Fender adverts
Cheers Kempy! I think it's about time I dropped in some of the 'you won't part with yours' adverts. I imagine them being designed by a skirt chasing, whiskey drinking Don Draper

Cool Fender Medium Scale, Not original though.
Chiliwailer replied to PlungerModerno's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
There's quite a few Urge versions, I'm not too up on them but I'd guess this is the cheaper Mexico version. The original Urge 1 had 2 x J pickups and 1 x P pickup, not fret dots and different hardware. The Urge 2 then went regular scale and the pickguard changed, maybe the electrics too? Can't recall tbh. Did see a cool Sherwood Green Urge 1 sell on eBay a few months back, the bass was also on BC, went for around £600. Good deal for the right guy. -
That's a looker Chili. I've still yet to have a play on one of these.
Cheers Gary, not the colour scheme I would have normally gone for so I was a bit worried, loved it when it arrived though so all is good. Great to see what I presume is your '66 in your profile picture

I still remember when I first saw the light, I finally got the jist. Owned other styles of basses and enjoyed them, but always felt best at home on a P Bass. Welcome to the club

Time for an update. My first post on this thread had me using a Mike Lull P4. There was nothing wrong with that bass, but I sold it when I got a PJ4 that was in my much preferred spec of ash and maple. Neck pocket states it was made for NAMM 2015, sure is a great example. I usually prefer a wide neck on a P Bass, but as my Jazz was being sold too I went for the thinner neck so I could better blend the two basses, turned out nicely. The most comfy necks I've ever had have been on a Mike Lull bass. I changed the white pickguard for a slightly softer parchment, and I have a black one too that looks pretty cool. The quality is up there with the best basses I've previously owned or played, but by a huge margin it's the most suited to me bass I've ever owned. Thank you Mike Few more pics if you click.
Yes sorry, I was busy coming to terms with it.. heh! - It really isn't worth 700, even sentimental money. Really nice CIJ 62 reissues on here have failed to reach £450 and they are in great condition. This 'at a push' is an RI neck on an unknown body.
Got ya. For some reason I thought it was a late 70's body and U.S. RI neck. Where do I get that? Oops! Just looked again at the listing and plate serial, not that it means nowt, makes it late 60's early 70's. Hard one to establish, would need more pics to guess it. Right you are, quite a can of unknown worms.
but ya know, too late now - someone has grabbed themselves an interesting instrument for what they felt it was worth - and that's what eBay is all about. Hopefully it'll still be as nice as it was 25 years ago
But it hasn't sold if his mate has bid the value up twice. From my PoV it's worth the £700 ( though maybe knocking off £50 after his failed second attempt) purely because it's sentimental. But I get what you mean about feeling what it's worth, entirely different thing that is!!
Hmmmm, well, he did say that he wanted way more for the bass - i mean he'd said that it was valued by a bassist as £1500!! - no way Jose!
....gulp.... Might be time to hit him with the harsh realities of the worth. Send him links to Lozz's 78's at £1100 and perhaps some vintage RI's, throw in some bitsers, add that it's collection only and he should have a better informed evaluation!
So who got it?
Mmm, not one to speculate but.... The winner on both auctions this bass has been in ( by same seller) has 745 feedback, and user name is hidden as a***r Coincidence, or sellers mate pushing it up?
