MXR Bass Comoressor - M87 Perfect working order. Only ever been on my pedal board, Velcro already on the back. If you'd prefer the sticky rubber feet let me know and I'll get some from another of my MXR pedals. Such a great pedal, the LED's are awesome, giving you an indication of the input and how the attack and response buttons are responding, so useful. Very flexible yet very easy to use. No box, but comes with instruction booklet. Not even a year old. ****No offers please**** Collection from Harrow. Postage is extra, depends what service you want, of course I won't make money on postage, please PM, Cheers.
I've reached this point also. 5 for me!
Think I'm joining you and Lozz there. I was originally a 4 for safety, but I can't see one reason why I'd need to change my Lull as its the perfect workhorse for me, and I'd only sell my Flea if I was skint ( looking more and more likely now, especially as I'm so into my Lull). I just sold a Jazz Bass as I can't justify so many basses these days, something has changed in the old brain and I feel better for it!

Deja Vu, I think someone else asked this last week . http://basschat.co.uk/topic/262775-zero-mod-tug-bar-for-j-basssuccess/page__fromsearch__1 If it's an original 60's bass, you may want to tread carefully as the pickguards can easily mark from the pressure of the thumb rest. So you could end up with a 60's bass that has marks in the wrong place on the pickguard.

I'll let you know how it goes, should get it by Wednesday or Thursday. Edit - ignore what I said about the Mooer pedal ( now deleted), I've looked at too many the past few days!!!

Not tried the Funkulator, but I just bought a Source Audio EQ literally about 10 mins ago. A little worried as its DSP technology so I wonder if it'll digitise my tone. Luckily mail order has its pluses when returning gear you don't like... The MXR Micro Amp is a great simple solution, second hand they are cheap enough too. I use one on my electric guitar all the time and have used them on bass many a time, I think Flea might use one as a slap boost too. It'd be good if you just need more volume a touch of depth, but the Source Audio would let you sculpt the sound more if you need.
Warwick Streamer Stage 2. I'm almost tempted to sell the Modulus to get one. ALMOST.
Have the seeds been sown for a slippery slide of GAS?
It's nice to play Stax/Motown with flats and rock with rounds, admittedly (for example)... but it's possible to get a myriad of tones from flats by varying playing position, using a pick, using various FX and pre-amps, etc. I like rounds, but I prefer the silkiness of my La Bellas... um... ...dammit, I'm just going to have to get another bass and fit it with DR Fat Beams. Oh, well...
You're missing a trick..... Double necks, duh

Without getting too deep and messy here, I always thought the relationship between the string and the bass depends on the relationship with the music being played.

Bought a pedal, received a pedal. All good, cheers.
The review was from the link I posted - not my words but stuff that I did notice but said so much more eloquently than I could have. Im seriously thinking about another one (currently using a Basswitch for preamp/eq/di) as my drive unit - might be a good choice as they are really solid.
Cheers for that, I've been enjoying mine for some time, will be looking at it in a new light now

Sure, it does look good by all accounts. Thanks for the reply. I should really expand on what I said too, given that it's programmable and leaning on the digital side, I'm wondering if that affects the natural tone of the instruments like many high end digital pedals do? It's not something everyone notices, but I do and it's my pet hate!

*** I tried one, see my later post of you're interested**** I'm thinking about buying a Source Audio Programmable EQ, but wonder if anyone has any experience of using them on bass? How are they? The programmable feature draws me to it, that's an essential for why I'm looking, and they are a £100 at Thomann so I'm getting ready to pull the trigger.... Thanks.
. C'mon, somebody try an Offer on me!
Yeah, c'mon somebody, drop the man an offer!!! Those pot codes are the wrong ones to date it, but if I'm not mistaken I can see 7504, maybe another 7 and the bit before obscured? So, therefore could be CTS and from 4th week of 75. Either way, it's not a big deal on a players bass is it? Shots of the underside of the pickup would be much more useful though. Obviously looks like a well used bass, the red in the sunburst has faded nicely so it's had a ton of exposure that matches the natural relicing. This could make a great players bass for someone who likes the feel of a well worn bass that has some 70's mojo. Any idea of the weight David? -
Owen bought a strap from me, easiest sale and perfect gent.
This is pretty much my perfect bass. I really hope you sell it quickly before I do some thing stupid GLWTS
Cheers Kempy, I hear that Would be nice to sell it quick, it sure is teasing me having it around. I really can't justify owning a Jazz Bass anymore but everytime I see it my mind goes bonkers!!

I'm with Chris B about the Tonehammer, great pedal. Also, the right compressor can give you a fuller and warmer tone. New pickups aren't always the answer.
Hi folks looking for a bit of help I have a nice old '64 Epiphone Rivoli. It sounds and plays great but the tuners are really slipping these days. I wondered if there was a new alternative so I wouldn't need to drill any new holes or anything? The existing tuners are the smaller slimmer shaft nickel 'Kluson' - I'd guess - types. Thanks!
Clive Brown would be the man to ask first. He is the finest guitar restorer in this country, bar none.

Mike Lull JAX T4. Ordered/two weeks. Mwahaha.
Chiliwailer replied to NancyJohnson's topic in Bass Guitars
Always nice to get a super quick turnaround. It's probably coming on the same shipment as my new Lull pickguards, though somehow I get that feeling that you're going to be the happier punter that day!
