  1. Rotator cuff - always reminds me of it's presence when lifting up one of the PA speakers Menieres - a little occasional wobble due to wearing sunglasses on stage and the balance organ laughing in my face... Mid set need to visit the porcelain wall - courtesy of a bladder that hates me.
  2. Sadly I wouldn’t fit all that in the boot of me Mini Dave 😂
  3. We’ve all been there mate, paid practice and all that. No fun though….even watching Strictly would probably win out.
  4. Nice sounds there mate. I got hooked on the MarkBass 12” about 8 years back. For me I haven’t been able to find anything that combines the same blend of great sound, size and weight.
  5. Know what you mean….me and the guitarist are both down with it at the minute, coughing like crazy. Singer really had his work cut out as me and guitarist vox died in the second set 😞
  6. Gig in a city centre pub in Wakefield last night with the glam lads. Lovely staff and well looked after but sadly it was a pretty poor turnout. It was the pubs first birthday and they wanted a party atmosphere but this is tough when you don’t have the numbers. It was a pub grub come sports bar type place and as often seen once the grub and sports finish the punters move on. That aside, those that stayed were very enthusiastic and we had a ball anyway, as we always say it doesn’t matter if you’re playing to 20 or 200 always give it beans!
  7. Thanks LD. I’m fortunate at present that other than a bit of crap balance I only get vertigo very infrequently so don’t need the betahistine.
  8. I’ve had this affliction for over a decade but managed to live with the tinnitus, occasional bouts of vertigo and increasing deafness reasonably well. Unfortunately the latest curve ball it has thrown me is to affect my discrimination of notes lower than low G, it makes them flat. Now at low volumes this doesn’t occur but as the volume increases it presents and can make life tough on stage as I have to ignore what I’m playing. I’m thinking that I would be best going for a simple IEM setup to enable me to play a bit longer; I can’t get the rest of the band to go this way so can someone give me advice on what I would need (and product recommendations) to enable a nice clear low volume feed for me alone in the band situation?
  9. Love the Dickies version of the theme tune. I’m having it at my funeral!
  10. This looks to be still available, at this price it’s a steal. I had one of these for a few years and gigged it alongside my EBMM Ray and if anything I preferred it.
  11. Forgot to mention…..driving back down the M1 from last Saturdays gig I was increasingly aware that my night vision was rubbish. I thought to myself, well the hearing is on the way out so why would I be surprised about the eyesight. It was only when I took a close look in the rear view mirror that I noticed I’d still got my ‘gigging sunglasses’ on. My normal specs were in the gig gear in the boot so had to suffer the affliction for the remainder of the motorway bit. Definitely losing it….
  12. Great night with the Glam Band last night at the Old Masons Arms in Oulton. Second time we’ve played this boozer and again the crowd are second to none. Well looked after by the manager and staff too which is always a bonus. Hopefully they’ll be a return in the new year.
  13. I’ve built up a selection of highly dubious clothing over the 7 years I’ve been with the current band. Wifey no longer gets concerned when she sees me looking through women’s sparkly tops and tight flares.......
  14. Cheers, not worried about a mono mix, we only put vox and drums trough the PA. What’s a XLR to TRS lead, I haven’t come across those?
  15. This one D. https://products.dynacord.com/na/en/powermate-600-3/
  16. Yep, having to consider ‘options’. Short term may run line outputs to sub and power the tops from the Dynacord power section. Not ideal as I want to use the xover. Was aiming not to destroy the HK Pro12 tops with the drummer’s electronic kit……
  17. Connecting this using its active crossover to a pair of HK pro 12 passive tops https://www.google.co.uk/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwj016Cy-beCAxXmBgYAHRbGAnUYABALGgJ3cw&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9Negsvm3ggMV5gYGAB0WxgJ1EAQYAiABEgIHYPD_BwE&sig=AOD64_31uw0TifItQFOHnPS-5MnPEOeR8g&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwiL9Zmy-beCAxXlW0EAHT3LDUgQwg8oAHoECAUQEw&adurl=
  18. Looking for advice on best place for a pair of speakon to female XLR leads. Connecting a 800w rms, 2.4kw peak active sub to a pair of passive tops. Need 10m lengths, but finding prices all over the place and most made up ones seem to be short lengths. TIA
  19. It won’t be the same without you Pete but 14 years is a good stretch without inflicting harm on the Vocalist and/or drummer.
  20. I always use that line at soundchecks…
  21. Looks at a minimum that it's had a refin, I don't think I've ever seen one in satin black and/or didn't have the black 'mock' graphite straight through paint job on the body.
