Had a pair of vanderkley I didn't like them and went back to bf cabs, think I've answered my own question here add another Midget

Up until the other night I was quitting gigging but due to a strange turn of events I'm going to be gigging still so as they say it's out with the old and in with the new .I'm thinking about selling my rigs I have knocking around even my much loved bf midget the midget on her own just doesn't shift enough air I used her with a gb shuttle didn't like it with my barefaced so sold it on , but don't know what I fancy one cab solution would be nice lightweight affair my current rig for gigging at the min is mibass cabs and superfly that I'm gonna sell on when I decide .I've even looked at a combo but far too heavy for me apart from the mb combo any suggestions people Cheers kev

Thanks everyone it's always appreciated .and I couldn't leave we are like one big family and I like it here also , I'll just come on and write threads on stargazing and other stuff 👍

Don't get me wrong I like playing bass well most of the time but get no pleasure in gigging anymore pub gigs I know people are there too be entertained but I don't really like people and I am getting more anxious around them and I'm fed up of my guitarist saying down his mic give everyone a big smile and I feel bullied into pretending to enjoy myself when I'm not . I am gigging tomorrow night am looking forward to it err not really and don't really like playing the same old generic cover songs quit a big local festival coming in Easter but don't think I'll bother and tell them tomorrow night I'm putting my cabs away and calling it a day and taking up knitting or something , grumble over and thanks everyone for your time .met some great people from this forum and I've had some good laughs and done deals in some funny places lol and keep your eyes open in the for sale forum as I'll just keep a combo for noodling in the house 🎸

Well he's had enough if he goes I'm going to ,I love working with him we seem too lock in really well and I don't think I want to work with anyone else , so when our gigs are honoured he gonna hang up his sticks and I think I'll just noodle at home or should I move on ?

I have two bf cabs ones a midget and the others big baby gen 2 , midget is fine, big baby as lived a charmed life bought of this very parish I don't want to drive her hard and knacker my speakers so I won't use her live at the min as we get very loud . I tend to use the midget , any ideas Thanks Kev

I used to have the same problem , but it was me being too nice and sitting back in the mix I take no prisoners no more and turn up very loud if my guitarist is getting carried away he usually gets the hint then turns down I'd rather play quieter instead of building a awful wall of sound just a thought , keep us all posted how you go on fella😺

Andy is a top bloke , picked up a couple off mibass cabs today He also makes a mean cup. Of tea and boy does he know his stuff by the way the Nate Mendel p bass looks and sounds awesome Deal with comfidence one of the good guys😀
