1. Wouldn't messing about with a pedal be more hard work than grabbing a pick off the mic stand?

 4.
I agree, however, it's not even an average Fuzz sound lol Si
I think you are both right about a Fuzz pedal being needed the search continues lol

 6.
By the sound of things you're looking for a fuzz rather than an overdrive. The ODB-3 pushes into fuzz territory at it's higher settings. Personally I found the worst thing about the ODB was it's description - it's not really an overdrive, at least not a smooth one, and retains a fizzy edge whatever the settings. I thought it was very good at aggressive tones that stopped short of full on fuzz, the sort of thing that would probably appeal to fans of active basses into GK gear.
Thanks for that Musky maybe I should play with the ODB- 3 and give it more of a chance I am not the most patient person lol
 7. Thanks Si I get what you mean the ODB-3 is very mild will go on a quest to find cheaper fun pedals
 8.
Sorry, you said overdrive, clearly my suggestion wasn't overdrive. But still.....a good vibrato. I'd stay away from the ODB-3, plenty of good suggestions here. I always thought the Boss Mega Distortion was great on bass, I picked one up for £27 on eBay :-P Si
Hi Si just wondered why you say stay away from the ODB-3 I have one but have not really played with it much its not very "dirty" though if you get what I mean?
 9. Some great things for me to check out cheers chaps
 10. Trades I also fancy are a Marshall Guvnor 2 or a Jackhammer or a Digitech Bad Monkey.
 11. Title says it all this seller has about ten listings like this one on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Guitar-/310753348133?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item485a57ca25
 12.
The Digitech bass driver is £40-£45 at most places and I think it's a seriously underrated pedal. The Digitech stuff just plays so nicely with other pedals too!
Yeah I like that pedal but I cant find mine so didn't list it think my mates nicked it the B@@@@@d fiver says I don't see that again oh well
 13. I was just wondering if there are any good cheapo bass distortion/overdrive pedals that are worth trying for lets say around £40 new or used I just want to play about with them at home so obviously not looking to buy any top end gear. I already have a Boss ODB-3 and a Behringer vintage tube overdrive (believe it or not the Behringer is surprisingly good) but just wondered what else you guys could throw into the mix. cheers
 14.
Cheers mate, beginning to think i'll have to advertise as "free to a good home" soon
I know how you feel the market place is really stale at the minute it seems like like only very top end basses are moving
 15. I was a huge fan of them but anything after the black album in my eyes is a pile of brown steaming stuff but that's just my opinion
 16. Hi Dusty are you open to trades or just after a cash sale? Thanks
 17.
Given that this is illegal, I think this thread should be closed.
Even if he is a private seller?
 18. Might work but looks like a great way to bugger up your fret board? or am I wrong?
 19.
I don't mind naming and shaming 2 of them eventually if nothing is done. As stated above, the problem with naming and shaming is that I do not want to give them the opportunity to imply that I am the unreasonable one. I want the product I ordered, not more delays or throwing the toys out of the pram because I complained about them online. One of the builders seems to have gotten the message that I wont tolerate anymore delays and are starting to send me constant updates.
I agree but from what you have said in your post I personally think you have been more than reasonable but whatever course of action you choose to take I wish you good luck with it mate
 20. I think they should be named and shamed that might help them get there a@@@s in gear?
