1. My Lakie never goes out of tune once the strings have worn in. But it lives and goes everywhere in a hard case. Gig bags = tuning????? Also how many of us rarely change strings and how many change after 1 or 2 gigs?
2. Years ago I was asked for my autograph in WHSmiths. I was late for work and extremely hung over and didn't think to ask who they thought I was. Still bugs me now.
3. Having used several courier companies for work and scene behind the scenes of a few of them UPS are by far the best and are the only company that use shelved vans rather than just throwing it in the back of a 71/2 ton truck.
4. Someone that earns a living through playing music? Doesn't necessarily have to be any good just earns a living.
5.
There are 8 billion guitar amp sims available but has any one ever come across one that has multiple mic placing? I'd like one that has a mic on the speaker and a room or distance mic that you can pan and eq differently. So multi timbral.
7. BFD2 eco is awesome and usually on sale for £25. I have both this and easy drummer and find BFD streets ahead.
8. +1 for Audio Technica ATH M50. Pick them up for around £65 pounds if you look around too.
9. Pretty sure its made out of sex, just like a classic stingray.
10. Nile was on 6 music this afternoon and said his sound team found a way to re-route the stage mix through front of house so that the gig could continue. He also said it was the first time in his career he'd ever known the PA to go mid gig.
11. VM Jaguar P/J and looks cool too. Played a couple one was awful and one I fell in love with.
12. The inputs have gain controls so you can alter the volume there and obviously on you PC or Bass to get the correct mix. I have had one for over a year now and can't fault it. I considered the m track too but the input gain control is a godsend for active instruments you can control clipping as the input lights up green, yellow and red depending on level.
13. http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/studio/interfaces/focusrite-2i2-2-in-2-out-?gclid=CI6P_MLpp7gCFdDMtAod4mIAGw £20 more than you want to spend but it has real time monitoring so 0 latency to listen to your own instrument.
14. I use mixcraft 6 which is cheap as chips and very intuitive. Free to use forever but you can't save to audio until you register it. I think its about £50 all in and comes with a raft of effects plug ins, sound samples and vsts. Give it a try it is amazing for a cheap multi track daw.
15. I need your love by chic is fairly simple and I found it helps you get your grove. Plenty of room for fills when you get up to speed too.
16.
Hi Theres a guitar shop in maidstone town centre called "music matters".
There is but they don't have a anything great are crazy overpriced and don't stock 5 string sets let alone stainless or flats. ESE is good for guitars not so sure about bass but you have to catch them in a good mood and haggle like hell.
17.
Fools gold.....a bass classic.
Or a shameless rip off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7_LeTkp52U Bass kicks in around 1;00
18. Hold them in the same group as The Bee Gees and Alt J. You may have some awesome tunes but until you stop pissing about with the vocals I just can't listen to you.
19. If you are after a cheap p-bass. Usually loads of Westone thunder 1s on eBay. From the matsumoko factory and you can usually pick one up for around £100. Very good basses for the money.
20. I want some strings for my 5er and I'd like to string it through the body. I have rotos on it at the moment but they are not long enough without the silk protruding through the nut. It is a 55-01 so 35". Any body have any ideas?

Sold

Exactly the bass I'm after may be to soon for me though still saving. Am I right that there is no duty as Ireland is in th EU?
22. Never played a Sonic bass. But I had a go on a Sonic 6 sting just last week and it really was a plank. It had just been refurbished and had had some parts custom made was still awful. I have no idea how this would equate to the bass version. But it just felt cheap and poorly made.
