For Sale: 2 Compact Bass Cabs NOW SOLD
cLepto-bass replied to cLepto-bass's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
A quick update because I've had a few questions. 4x8 is an 8 ohm cab and is rated at 600 watts. It weights 25kg(ish) 1x15 is also 8 ohm and rated at 300 watts, its a bit lighter at 20kg. Both share dimensions of 47x47x34cm. I'm based in Swindon and yes £250 for the pair!! PM's also replied to. Thanks for the interest. -

I'm thinking about maybe getting a couple of these to go with my LMII to make a super compact rig but was just wondering if anyone has any information on them. Basically, does anyone know if this rig will be up to live gigs. I'm not expecting masses of volume but does know if this potential setup would cut it on stage. With the 2 cabs being used that would allow the head to run at the full 500w at 4ohms, but I just do know enough about it to commit to the buy yet. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers bass folk.

After much thought I have decided to let these go. They appear to be heavily based on the Ashdown mini48 and mini15 and believe me when I say that they are good. I use them along with my Markbass head and together they produce warm lows but with bell like clarity at the other end. When I got them I genuinely thought they would be my last cabs. I'm only selling them because I'm going to Uni and just wont have the space or time to play with them. I'm willing to trade both these seriously good cabs for an EBS 112neo, Aguilar GS112 or something along those lines. Hope that all makes sense.

I've decided to sell these 2 books that have seen me very well through my first few guitar builds. * Make Your Own Electric Guitar, £10inc p&p by Melvin Hiscok * Constructing A Solid-Body Guitar £7inc p&p by Roger H. Siminoff Both for £15inc p&p Both are in immaculate condition, I have really looked after these. They are good to have around the house but I feels it about time someone got some use of out of them. Dont hesitate if you have any questions. Thank you.

Cheers guys, now I have a starting point. I'll get back to you with what I decide to go for.

I've finally decided that after all these years I am going to invest in a Compressor pedal. Only question is, which one? If anyone has any suggestions and perhaps maybe a reason or two for your suggestion then I'd be more than happy to hear it. Just so that you know, I've been looking at the EBS Multi-comp so if anyone can give me advice on that one too, that would be great. Cheers people.

I just came across these new Isobaric cabs on the Orange website which can be found here.... http://www.orangeamps.com/products.asp?Act...List&Cat=20 ...and I'm rather intrigued by the Isobaric 2x10" as a small practice cab. Has anyone used these yet, if so what are your thoughts? Cheers people.
Soo, does thi have to have one of those special pickups (I know it comes with one) for it to work or an I just plug in the bass straight into it? If so, does it reduce the amount I can do with the sound? Cheers! -Josh
Sorry about the late reply. In order to have it work on bass you would need to get the bass specific pickup for it. Unfortunatley, you cant plug straight in with a regular guitar lead, it requires the pick up to make use of the 13 pin lead that comes with it. Hope that helps. Still up for grabs if anyone is interested in this powerfull piece of kit.

I'm selling my Pearl snare drum because i've recently upgraded mine. It is the ELX model range and is the 14" X 5" model. It sounds as sweet as a nut. Looking for £50 for the snare but can throw in a snare stand with it for £65 all told. Not sure how much postage will be but due to the bulky size of both bits pick up might be a better option. I'll put some pic's up in a bit. Peace.
