1. I'm currently looking to purchase a short scale acoustic bass to take with me when i do my travels of Europe. I'm looking for one as small as possible and since its going travelling with me sound quality isnt really an issue, as long as it can be played thats all i need. If anyone knows of anything similar to this that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
2.
I don't know what your budget is but if you are looking to not part with much cash I'd recommend the Harley Benton HBB30. At £115 it's great value and sounds just fine. I wanted a cheap acoustic to leave in the living room so I can just pick it up for a couple of minutes here and there and not worry if it gets jumped on by the kids.
Yeah did spot this one but i was wondering what the deal is on postage. What i mean is did it arrive in a playable state straight away? I've never liked buying stuff off the net but to get it at that price is really good.
3.
i have an "OK" cheap one off ebay - but based on that experience.... spend money to get a solid, not laminated top. light strings work better - you can just turn up louder make sure you like the action as adjustment is slow and painful to do check the string volume balance on the pickup - mine is quiet on the lower strings. If its anything like mine, it will go out of tune a lot.
Well cheers for the heads up, unfortunately where i live there aren't too many guitar shops and therefore no acoustic basses so i'm going to have to travel for that. But thanks for the advice.
4. Has this been sold yet? I'm flirting with the idea of having it off you.
5. Just as the title says, just wondering what peoples suggestions migth be. I might even get myself a fretless one so again, you any info would be warmly recieved. Cheers y'all
6. Just so that you all know, this amp is still up for grabs and as such has recieved a price drop. Now you can get yourself this brilliant amp in as new condition for as little as £300. Somebody surely most know someone who might be interested.
7. Just bought a Sandberg California PM from the fine guys at The Guitar Works in Reading and it is the best bass i have ever played. Play one, you will not be disapointed.
8. I have this to sell: http://www.fender.com/products//search.php?partno=0213202000 Pictures to follow. Bought it about 9 months ago with the intention of doing a bit of guitar work live but it never really happened, i'm a bass player through and through. I've also just bought myself a brand new Sandberg Bass and as a result need to free up some funds. Comes with footswitch and dust cover but unfortunatley no manual, but i can print one off if its needed. The condition is brilliant, sounds awesome and runs perfect all the time, never been gigged and hasn't even moved from the bedroom cuboard in 3 months. Maybe another one of you fine bass players can have it off me and actually get some use out of it. Looking for £320 for it, and like i said its in faultless condition. Any interests, just give me a shout. Cheers y'all.
9. I am so interested in the 104 and whats more i am swindon based too but having just this week been made redundant i really can justify the expence right now. If you still got it when i get the funds i will absolutley have it off you. I dont suppose anyone reading this can tell me if it is possable to convert this cab to 4 ohms, i would like to get the full 500w whack from my head you see. Cheers.
10.
Hi Could you tell me how heavy the 104 is please? and approx dimensions. I got a small car and dodgy back! Cheers Graham
Here you go: http://www.markbass.it/products.php?lingua...t=2&vedi=33
11. Hiya everybody, i need help, fast. Does any one know of any internet based musical instrument rental companies. What i'm after is an Orange AD200 bass head for my tour which starts in 5 days. My one has gone bang and there is no way i afford to purchase a new just yet so this is my only hope guys. Any help would be greatly appreciated
12. In my honest opinion it has to be a Markbass, either the CMD 103h or the CMD102p. Depends on budget and personal taste. I've owned both in recent years and in my opinion i would recommend you go for the 103h, it awesomely powerfull and capable of adding a second cab at a later date if needed. Seriously try this amp out, it will inspire you. Hope that helps.
13. Squire any day. I bought mine about a year ago and since then my 2 american Fenders (1 j and 1 p) have hardly left there cases in that time. Expect to see one or both of them up here for sale sometime soon. Seriously, for the money meets quality ratio the Squire is unbeatable.
14.
Guess its something coming soon! They've added a software section to their products page ready for it, but its currently empty. Should be an interesting contender to AmpegSVX, which it'll have a hard job beating, but if they manage that - brilliant!
Yeah, i am currently running the Ampeg SVX and in all fairness it is brilliant but i use Markbass amps live and in the studio so could be very interesting indeed.
15. http://www.markbass.it/photogallery.php?li...=0&quale=57 Just came across this photo on the markbass website but couldnt seem to find any info on it what so ever. Just wondering if anyone has any news on it because i find myself very curious by it. Just realised that the link above doesnt take you straght to what i'm on about, it is photo number 6.
16. Hi all, I've had one or two enquiries regarding this guitar but as of this moment its still up for sale. So if anyone fancies a quality 6 string guitar for not many pennies give me a shout. Regards.
17.
Where are you ? My Dad might be interested.
I am based in wonderfull Swindon. Hope that suits someone. Thanks for everyones interest.
18. Need to get rid of this guitar sharpish as i'm moving soon and cant be bothered to take it with me. It's this guitar http://www.squierguitars.com/products/sear...rtno=0327502506 I can put some photos up if there is much interest. Plays really well, i love the squier stuff, the quality for the price is brilliant. Dont really play it much because i bought it on a whim. Things to note. Couple of very minor marks on the back, not really scratches just marks in the black finish. It also has a couple of holes in the scratch plate near the bridge because i had a Roland GK pickup fitted. Doesnt effect the sound or play and if its too bad they are pretty cheap to pick up. Anyway, looking for the grand sum of £60 and thats it, like i said i do need shot of it soon. And i can even though in a cheapish soft case for it. Would make an ideal starter guitar or a trust spare. Questions welcome. Regards.
19. Maybe a stupid question but would a Jazz Bass fit in this case?
20. Any takers on my EHX Bass Micro Synth. Got it about 6 months ago but then my band split so all my pedals are leaving one by one. Great bit of kit if you are after that sort of thing. £100 + p&p.
21. I've had my MM for about 18 months and playing it through my Little Mark II is quite frankly awesome. It can do pretty much what ever i ask it do, and the playability matches. I got mine for a stupidly low £500 and that came with a top qulaity hard case and various other pieces which must have added up to £100 alone. When i first got it i had no idea that it was a signiture bass and i had only just heard of Marcus Miller but since then i have done alot of listening to his work and it has absolutely spured me on as a musician. All in all, well made cheap bass that indirectly made me play better better. Now all i've got to do is find the same in a drum kit, i dont think i can be that lucky twice though.
22.
Where are you based?
Based in wonderfull Swindon.
23. Really need rid of this amp now so it yours for half a ton. Thats 50 quid for 150 watts of pure Marshall gigging power. Any takers?
24. I have for sale Marsahall B150 bass amp. It should look like this http://www.marshallamps.com/product.asp?productCode=B150 but due to being young and stupid i decided to alter the appearence of it. Dont worry, its kind of tastefully done. Rugged you might say. NO STICKERS! The amp itself is rated at 150 watts and it does have a really good bass sound. Would be ideal for someone starting up gigging. Served me well for a good number of years. Asking for £85 for pick up only. Cheers y'all.
