Lovely to meet you today Chris. Got to have a bit of a go with it once I'd got it back, my son was gobsmacked - he had no idea - sounds absolutely gorgeous through his Berg, I'd never believe it wasnt a Fender (and a good one) if I didnt know, lovely fast neck. Its as light as you said too, got to be the most comfortable jazz I've played. Sorry - thats probably rubbing salt into the wound a tad.... Sure we'll bump into each other again sometime, maybe you'll let me have a closer look at your Sandberg (looked lovely!)?
I'm glad to hear your pleased with your new purchase, all the best to your son. Brilliant doing business with you. Regards. -
How much does this weigh?? If its a monster its no good to me, but I quite fancy playing recklessly out of tune
Not sure of the exact weight i'm afraid but it is definatley alot lighter than my Fender Marcus Miller bass i had a while ago, incredibly light compared to a Rickenbacher 4003 i once owned and quiet i bit lighter then my current Sandberg. In short it is definately not a monster. I would honestly say that if you've ever pick up any Squier bass before then you will know what to expect. As for the 'playing recklessly out of tune' part, that sure is fun. Especially if you have a 'pitch perfect' guitarist that is funny to wind up, that is brilliant fun. I hope some of this helps. -
I'm interested. Where are you based? how much would it be to deliver to London? Thanks
Cheers for the interest again. I'm based in Swindon, which isn't that far away from London. As for delivery, at a guess i would say about £25 should be enough to cover it. Pick up would be prefered but if it means i have it to send it to have it off my hands then i can. I will add photo's in the next hour or so. Hope this helps. -
Am interested, but what is the condition of it? Do you have a photo of your actual bass rather than a stock one?
Cheers for the interest. The condition is what i would call very good. One or two very minor marks but completely playable and sounds as new. I've only had it for 3 or 4 months. I will post pictures up tomorrow (5th) so that you can see for yourself. Hopefully you will agree. Thanks again. -

This really is a beautifull bass, it plays and sounds awesome. Its in really good condition, only one or two very minor marks. Looking for £150. I need to sell it because i'm moving to a much smaller place soon so its got to go, along with a load of other bits which i will add soon. Any questions, dont hesitate. NOW SOLD!

I use the Electro Harmonix LPB 2ube and it does just what your after. Dont let the fact that its only a preamp pedal put you off, when you combine the two channels and use both gains and volumes you get anything from a gritty bass sound to overblown fat distortion. It wont do super modern high gain fuzz but who wants that anyway, but since it full bandwidth you wont lose any of the bass like you do with other distortion type pedals. Seriously give it a go. The one gripe i do have with it is the funny power supply, its just a bit weird.

Does anyone know what problems would be likely to arrise. I'm not all that clued up on this Ohm stuff.

Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes anyway. Just completed the sale of an Electro Harmonix Bass Micro Syth with bobbass4K and just wanted to sing his praise's. Thoroughly decent chap and he even helped me with all the in's and out's of my first Basschat sale. He made it really easy for me and for that i thank him. Cheers again. Chris.

I know its a long shot but i dont suppose anyone knows of anywhere where i might be able hire a Markbass Classic 300 for a week or so. I've done the usual internet search but haven't managed to find what i'm after. If anyone knows anywhere that would be great. Cheers y'all.

Help needed on info regarding no-name bass cab.
cLepto-bass replied to cLepto-bass's topic in Amps and Cabs
i believe several people on here have similar looking cabs (and have also said fantastic things about them), IIRC they were built by the company that originally built cabs for ashdown, or something like that. unfortunately i don't have any info beyond that, but i'm sure someone will know something...
Cheers for the info. If anyone else does know where i might be able to find them that would be great. Thanks again. -
150W into two 6"s will be far quieter than 150W into one 15". Alex
Please forgive my ignorance but how does this work. I'm in the market for either a small combo ar cab too and this comment has intrigued me. Cheers

I bought these cabs a few years ago and to be honest they are brilliant. Not just brilliant for the price i paid for them (£330 for both!) but brilliant full stop. They are based on the now discontinued Ashdown ABM Mini cabs and when matched with my MarkBass LMII they sound awesome. I am thinking of getting another pair of these cabs but over the years i have lost all the contact details for the builder/seller and since they are un-branded i have no reference with which to start a search. If any has any information regarding these cabs that would be greatly appreciated.

I bought this a few months ago for studio rehearsal rather then transporting my whole rig but just realised that my MarkBass LM II can be used in the same way so this is up for grabs. This is the fella: http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/LX1-B.aspx Like i said, its pretty much in new condition, and comes with power supply, footswitch (never taken out of the box) and a carry holdall thing which is quite handy. Great for headphone use if you have little'ens sleeping and as i said before if you practice somewhere there is a P.A and you cant be bothered to lugg your rig around. Not sure what they go for normally so forgive if this is wildly overpriced, but i'll start at say......£50 +p&p (not sure what that will be yet) Any questions, dont hesitate. Regards.

I know its not bass related but just thought i would see if anyone fancied it. I bought it about 9 months ago with the intention of taking up guitar in a band only to realise that i am bass through and through. Anyway, this is the one: http://www.fender.com/products//search.php?partno=0213202000 Its not been used in the last 3 months and has never been gigged. Its in almost new condition. It comes with the channel changer footswitch and the heat prove dustcover. Looking for £350 for it which as far as i can see by looking on ebay and various other sites is a good price for it. Any questions, please dont hesitate. Thanks y'all.
