1.
Ha-ha, I know that feeling - and finally gave in. No regrets at all. There is a guy on Talkbass who builds a PLL without the drone and momentary sections for less, but then shipping&taxes have to be considered, so I guess the FT is your best bet.
You got anything recorded up on sound loud with the Pll on bass?
2. Just got their price list through, seems like they know how to clone a pedal! 275 euros, £240 good money. I'll really struggle to justify that in my head but It looks batshit crazy good.
3. well the MIKU is odd, but that Schumann PLL pedal looks crazy good, shame they are as rare as unicorn sh*t. I'd love one.
4. I don't know if anyone has seen this ridiculous pedal. There was one on ebay and that made me look as I was intrigued by Korg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aveUEZkcQno In the review they guys through away a comment like, its your star pedal, which made me think of what pedals are really weird to being almost unusable. What other strange concept effects units are out there?
5. I've seen orange goblin's set up for rehearsals... Terror head and 810 orange cab, shouldn't think it were quiet.
6. I haven't owned a 500w. My Laney B1 is 1000+ depending on howand what you connect this upto 2channels of 750 or 1500 bridged. It is a nice bit of kit that's cheap if you can find one, valve and fret stage.

8.
I think most quit bands because they joined the wrong band in the first place or the direction of the band changed so dramatically they no longer meet your band requirements. Blue
This
9. You using the effect out?
10. Is the suicide things confirmed, could it not be misadventure with drugs - accidental? RIP Cornell, as many have said, the sound track to my growing up. I love Kims guitars and Cornells righteous words throughout Soundgarden - horrible shame.
11. I use it and I love it. Acknowledging the demand on pedal board real estate this is probably my favourite pedal even with the Expression pedal and patch switch - is essential. very transparent, all the range you'd want and great tracking, very sweet filter and few other effects that complement the main functions well - mod/freeze. I'll try get a vid done but it'll not be soon as I've got a few canvases drying out in the man cave.
12.
they ARE the P tone. Everything else on a P is the same as on a Jazz cept the nut width and extra vol pot
well caught.
13. PM me if you find yourself in OP's situation!
14.
I love having fewer basses. Not down to one, but was at three for last couple of years, currently at two, but looking for a third (on the cusp of ordering I think). I guess my 'main' bass is my '71 Precision with flats, but that's obviously not perfect for every situation, so am looking for a quality P/J 4 string to have with roundwounds etc. Also have a cheap but quality 5 string for the few gigs that call for it (Lakland 55-01). Three, to me, seems to be the magic number :-D Si
What happened to fodera?
15. So my two basses are an old Hondo II similar to a carbonita single coil humbucker (lovely neck) and an Ibenez EDC 700 with two singles in P and J positions. I want a P bass but think uncovered splits are ugly... That just me? Are they crucial to the P tone?
16. Beautiful looking bass and its hypnotic framed by the AstroTurf and furry case lining. If only I had the money!

18.
You might need to factor in the law of Symmetrically Opposed Developments which states that desired outcome is inversely proportional to actual outcome.
dude, whats that mean? If Im really looking forward to something, it'll be really bad... and visa versa?
19. That Feildy fella must feel ace about it.
20.
All I know is that mine sounds great, which probably means the Vintage great . Weirdly (because I don't get this feeling with other clones), I feel a bit weird about building clones of the Darkglass (I have the Guma Drive on the way to build too), but for me it's not a way of 'getting a cheap Darkglass', it's a way to practice building them and have a cool pedal at the end. I think what Darkglass do is amazing, and long may it continue . Si
That's not as long as I thought. I'll check out the schematics - although I'm totally useless at seeing what way around components are placed and generally not built for patient soldering. I get it your sentiment.
21. Hey now, no need to start chatting about synths (!) and although I get your point I don't think the principle is transferable. When do bass players need to sound like something else? Synths are far more complex in scope and replicate thousands of sounds from piano to pan pipes to farts. Mid and Top range synths can cost an absolute fortune, so to recap: OP inquired if a Zoom MS-60B could come close to a Boss OC-2. You later pointed out that its not a like for like comparison. OP then said he will simply use multi-effects to explore the effects range and then get dedicated pedals. That's when I basically said its a waste of time: why not get cheap effects pedals and see what you wish sounded better and the effects you simply didn't care for. Like I've said, many people on basschat effects forum started with multi-effects and move away from them. There's always the potential for bassists to come back to them when they figured their approach out more and have the aptitude to sit and program their MS-60B to sound as close as they can get to a OC-2. EDIT: it doesn't matter as OP has made a purchase one I hope they have fun using and take their bass playing and enjoyment to the next level.
22. EHX HOG, simple. An absolute genius pedal.
23. Big red dood, No one disputes how handy and plausible multi effects are. My only observation is that multi effects aren't used properly by beginners as they don't know what they are after or have the breadth of knowledge or requirements you do to validate using them exclusively.
24. Ha, again, the multi effect pedal you're leading to is very specific and whilst it sounds like all your needs are met, it's not a beginners toy to figure things out. Sound neat thoygh.
