2.
You could try a small fibreglass repair kit from Halfords or whatever.
+1 or B&Q sell fabric matting and epoxy resin, soak the matting in the resin and place generously over and around the repaired area. I have done corners on a rack lid before but that needed the aluminium mesh from halfords, same process though. Good luck.
 3.
That is just absolutely gorgeous! Is it Sonic or Daphne (it looks like the latter but it's probably just the light/images)?
Hi Cheers it is beautiful. Its Sonic Blue. I will try and get some good quality daylight shots. Dave
 4.
I can see that you can download version 1.34 for Mac for the Pocket Pod on the site chap. http://line6.com/software/index.html
Cheers Dood, Unfortunately it doesn't support when the app is run on the computer, its states that it does on the support page though. I read on some forums and apparently the last version is 1.23. Thanks though Dave
 5. HI I have inherited a pocket pod but the Line 6 Monkey software download no longer supports the pocket pod, does anyone have a copy of 1.23 or earlier I believe???? Oh and for Mac please. Thanks Dave
 6. Deon, Brilliant player, Wham, Great band, Great songs amazing brass arrangements.
 7. If you cant get a replacement from strings and things buy a single schaller on ebay. If the lack of logo is a problem swap the tuner and leave the MM mech and housing on the headstock, they come apart quite easily I think

 13. Took these in trade from ghostrider on a non bass related deal so I'm just looking to get my money back on them, All fully working and in excellent condition Will split but would prefer one lot for ease, Will post at buyers expense £450 the lot £100 per cab £270 the head. Or consider trade for a good electric bass. Cheers Dave
Here is another Ray to my collection This one appears to have an extra bit of wire running the length of the fretboard, Not sure what its for yet! I will get some better pics up once I can get all the MM's out at the same time, Still need a 30th though oh and a fretless and maybe a 20th and maybe a family reserve...........
Thats beautiful Pete,
 15. My rig at Ulverston Coronation Hall last month, Unbelievably heavy cab but the quality of sound is worth every compressed disc
 16.
It does raise one question... what bliddy PF trib band have you joined like?
"THE" PF tribute mate , Shine On
 17.
That is quite simply one of the nicest looking P bass`s I have seen. I love the way that the headstock is a darker colour than the rest of the neck. Did the guy do that effect for you? If so, he`s well talented. Jez
Yeah, he did it to resemble a few years of ageing, for some reason head stocks always seem darker than fingerboards, so although it looks quite a contrast at the minute it should even out as it ages naturally. The guy is called Dave Wilson, he is a brilliant, I cant recommend him enough and wouldnt trust an instrument to anyone else really. Daves site I love the bass, always loved P basses but never liked the sound of them when i play one but this sounds great, really deep and fat with definition and doesn't disappear when the band kick in. Cheers Dave
 18.

Hmmmmm makes you realise when you see a collection like this, all you really need for any bass situation is, a jazz, a precision, a stingray and a posh bass. Beautiful basses and welcome, ignore me I'm just cursing my own gas
 19. Thanks very much, I love it, It plays and sounds great.
 20. 4003s model was a continuation of the original RM 1999 bass (60's UK export only), same as USA 4001 but no binding and slight body contouring. As far as I'm aware the only difference between a 4001 and a 4003 is that the 4001 was designed to be used with flats and 4003 re designed 4001 to accommodate round wounds, both models can appear with binding and triangle inlays. The "s" indicates no binding and dot inlays but the lack of stereo was an option available on all Ric basses and not just a budget thing so it may or may not have it? Ive got both styles and much prefer to play the S version it is much more comfortable to play and this is a bargain of a bass with quite a rare and retro look Id jump on it. PS Niether the 4003 or the 4001 or their respective "s" versions had set necks, all had Thru neck construction. Cheers Dave
 21.
It was new, but the default set up when I got it was pretty much perfect. This neck issue is only in the last month or so. I put it down to the cold at first, but my Ibanez BTB406 and my Fender Strat don't seem to be having any issues with it.
If its was bought new dont touch anything, contact Strings and Things or insist the vendor does, They have sold you a new bass with problems that should be covered by the warranty?
 22.
Here's the component side: And here's the solder: The shop was CC Music in Glasgow.
That has been re soldered badly, looks like there will be more than a few dry joint (solder not forming full contact between board and component) I would contact MM customer service they have a great reputation. Dont give up on the brand because of a cowboy. Like everyone is saying take it to a reputable luthier, I always recommend Dave Wilson Guitars (depends where you are) and the circuit probably holds a max of £20 of off the shelf components. Just guessing but neck wise and to be honest whole bass wise I have never ever had a problem with a MM bass, necks are solidly reliable so are the circuits and the build quality is outstanding, to me this sounds like someone before you bought it has possibly tinkered and caused the board to fail after you bought it and they may have had a go with the neck? Cheers Dave
 23.
Go on Dave - you could trade me one of yours - we could keep it in the family!!
The only Ray I have that fits the bill is my LAVENDER PEARL (NOT girly pink thank you TIm!) but I need a fretless at the minute, However you have a lovely Ray yourself Hmmmmmmmmmmm swapsies?
