For me it has to be Mick Ronson's solo at the end of Moonage Daydream, yeah it's the second time posted but it's that good...... ....and Trevor Bolder's bass is pretty cool as well

I'm an out and out tele fanatic. Got three at the moment ('56, DeTemple and Custom Shop) with another DeTemple on order

Up for trade is my Fender Custom Shop '58 re-issue relic telecaster. This is a 2008 limited edition in white see thru blonde. Equipped with a Nocaster bridge pick up and twisted tele neck pick up, a soft V neck and heavy relic finish. Comes complete with case, COA and ashtray bridge cover and strap. This is a great playing and sounding guitar but as I also have an original '56 tele and a DeTemple tele I thought I'd see if there is any interest in trading for a bass. Just purchased a Zia Drive from Ste. Great comms and fast delivery - cooler than a polar bear sunbathing on a glacia

I had a WT400 traveller plus and this was excellent - warmth, punchy and loud. The WT550 has improved heat dissipation allowing it to go to 2 ohms and 550 watts and they are very similar in sound. I gigged my WT400 on average 6 times a month from 1999 through to 2005 without any issues (I put a Phillips NOS 5751 pre-amp in it which gave fantastic results of clarity and headroom). Great amps. I also had a WT800 but this was much heavier and I preferred the sound of my WT400. One other thought. I had a RH450 but found this a little lacking - I now have an RH750 and this has far greater 'slam' and 'punch' in the lower register and am very happy with this

Just bought Si's '65 P Bass. Great guy and really good to do business with - he has some very nice basses as well.

I have to agree with GK that the pups on the 2024x sound immense. Here's mine:

I've always liked the finish. Almost bought an antigua P Bass in '79 but it was so heavy I decided to go for the Stingray they had in the store which, as I have since found out, is an unusually light Stingray.....

highest tension flatwound strings for a 5 stringer
alanbass1 replied to Old Horse Murphy's topic in Bass Guitars
Rotosound jazz 77's - highest tension strings I have ever played for a 45 - 105 gauge. I assume they do 5 string sets -
Thanks Tom and enjoy the cab. Look out for a second one, you won't regret it

Tom bought my Berg cab. Great guy to deal with and highly recommended

I have two of these and this one does not get used so I thought I will see if there is any interest. This unit is one of the ealrlier ones that was made in Japan. Nice condition for it's age. Will sell for £90 posted to a UK address.

Best way to find out is play one and decide whether it's worth the extra. I have a 2024x and it is a truly wonderful instrument
