1. Make me an offer bump. 😊
2. Really nice ! Check out Dave Fiukzynski, he plays fretless guitar too.
3. If I'm doing anything like this, then I would want chord charts as a minimum, preferably notated charts. Two of the bands I gig with have lead sheets, charts (chord and notation) in a drop box. Simply log in, and download/print-off what you need. Though use of a mus** st**d is the norm .
4.
i don't think there is anything sexist about a woman having a big bass rig. It would be sexist to say women should not have bass rigs at all.
I was referring to the first part of the post.
5.
So long as they are black and carpeted, what woman would know if your bass rig changed? Ahem! https://www.facebook.com/lee.caveberry this old pal of mine might, I suppose. Her "big rig" is a recently-acquired Little Mark III with a 15" cab. Mind you, it IS yellow in parts......
Rather a sexist comment.
6. Like new, used for one gig. Short size : 94cm maximum length. £23 including 1st class next day postage.
7.
Last time I did, it was 1976. So, no I don't smoke weed. Every musician I know that smokes weed is broke. And alcohol never enters my body. I must seem pretty boring to most. Blue
You sound quite sensible to me .
8. TC Hall of fame. The Steve Lawson tone print is beautiful.
9. No. Assuming I've even heard of him or her anyway, he or she possibly got it for free if they're in a big band.
10. Vinyl record cleaner also does the job.
11. I was at this gig. Both mike and Steve were on top form.
12. Surgical spirit works. Whatever you use, test it first in an unconspicuous area.
13. Won't they order the colour that you want in their next consignment ?
14. One guy I play with occasionally is 85, he's an amazing jazz player. A guy I teach is 79. You're never too old to play.
15. The best and easiest one to use is the TC ditto. I used to use 2 together. They're great little things. Others like the ones by Boss I found to be awkward to use live. There's lots of resources here - http://www.loopersdelight.com/tools/tools.html And here - http://looperpedalreviews.com
16. I love his playing, though sadly discovered it only quite recently. I've got a couple of his solo albums, and one by rain, tree, crow. What I like is the fact that he's different, in a sea of people all sounding alike. I like difference, it should be applauded.
17. Daft question, what country's are involved ?
18. I'm guessing that something in the room was resonating in sympathy with the frequency of your note.
19. Nice !
20. This is a brief, and quiet improvised piece on my piccolo tuned 6 string fretless : https://soundcloud.c...d/100920161723a And another : https://soundcloud.com/an-ending-ascend/100920161605a
21. They're really nice. I love graphite necked basses. I like the tuner machine cosies .
22.
I finally got round to watching the Glastonbury coverage I'd saved off iPlayer yesterday. Surprised to see Glenn Tilbrook with an iPad on stage. I don't think I've ever seen a pro band with music stands / tablets etc on stage. https://youtu.be/5u5rc-JuAeA
Maybe go on a cruise. I played on one for a summer 5 years ago. It was sight reading every night for the whole band. Have a look at the photo of James Brown's band that was posted last night.
23. The new Steve Lawson album. Brilliant, as always. Going to the album launch gig on Sunday too 😊.
