hi guys! im thinking of getting a tc head for a lighter weight amp next year as im considering setting up a dual rig, well i am but its gonna take a while! ive used the search thread and i love the sound of the tc amps! and in an ideal world id buy the blacksmith! but i like having two kidneys! but i do have one question that i can't find out anywhere. are the three presets able to change all the setting or are they just for the eq? ie can u change the tube tone and spectracomp levels as well? and on a secong note im gonna go with a 210 but will the cheaper cab that tc do be ok or should i just get the higher priced cab? theres about 200 notes in it? andy

i was looking into getting a tc g major 2 a while back some awesome sounds, delays, reverbs, pitch shifting, modulation! and loads more but no dirt but its an amazing effect! in the end i went with pedals as im only gonna use delay, reverb and some modulation so it was a bit over the top. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_njX52NyaA the video is a guitar but very cool unit. andy

ive seen the dynamics pedal! but im never really sure the best way to use a compressor!? im stuck at the minute, do i get the nova reverb or the hall of fame mini pedal? the nova style pedal has the ability to save a preset so i have two reverbs on tap, which i like. the hall of fame is really similar to the nova bar the preset and there less reverbs to choose from. im def gonna try and grab a modulator and ive decided to replace my ehx memory boy with the nova repeater ( when i have the money that is! ) andy

is it purely the eq that you can save in the 3 presets, ive been thinking about getting a 450? with one of the cheaper tc cabs andy

been looking at these pedals online as im looking to save some space on my pedal board and was wondering if anyone has tried these pedals out? im looking to save some space on my board so i looked at the nova modulator first by combining my chorus, flanger etc into one pedal it would save me alot of room and this pedal would give me more effects to, like vibrato and trem (i might never use them but there there) also its got two effect engines(as they put it) so i can mix chorus with trem etc if i wanted? or have two chorus going at once, or six as they have tri chorus! but im wondering if any of you guys have tried one out? also i have got in to reverb on my bass recently and tc also do a reverb pedal in the nova series which looks and sounds awesome! lots of diferent types to choose from, so same question again really!? anyone tried it? the alternatives that ive looked at are the line 6 mm4 (bigger than the nova pedals) and the boss rv-5. both are stereo outs and ins like the tc stuff. so what you think? andy

for me chillis will always be chad, flea, john and kiedis i saw them at earls court on the stadium aracadium tour and they were awesome! josh was on that tour playing second guitar they sounded huge! but it just doesnt work for me without john! plus there new stuff is just not for me. on the other hand tho flea sounds good on the new stuff!

Your Aguilar DB750 is "nice" amp, so you may need to crank some mids (or have an expander pedal) on the dirty signal chain to give that smack in the face an Ampeg SVT at full whack would give. [/quote] yeh i love my db750! gain cranked and like you say push the mids, sounds really nice and add my boss 0c-3 and either odb-3 or way huge swollen pickle! im in love but i would love to just have some lovely thick bottom to round out my sound, which could be coming from this second amp, plus i kinda wanna see if i can use the stereo outs on some of my pedals? like my bf-3 and im looking into the ehx pulsar trem. my board has quite alot of dirt on it like troys, ive got a metal muff and the swollen pickle and odb-3. i blend the muff with clean using an ls-2 so i can't say that my sound is small! and just incase people take this as me wanting to copy troys tone, im just looking to see what i can do to make mine better! andy

[/quote] thanks man! ive heard of those pedals! so ill check them out! on the dual rig thing im def looking into it! ive been close a few times but its never really been viable but my band heard troys bass sound and we all love it! so i think im gonna try and get something together? im thinking of maybe trying to get a 210 combo and use that for my clean then i can use my current 610 and aguilar as my dirty. ive found a video of his rig but they skip his pedalboard!! Yeh maybe have to wait a bit for new album board shots. Ive managed to find out his touring rig tho and its epic! Clean channel tc electronics blacksmith into 2 410's And his dirty channel, is either svt or a pro 4 into to mesa 810's And after listening to the blacksmith videos that is one hell of an amp! Andy
