  2. 250 now sold. Both in very good condition and work as they should. Very loud, even the BH250 is easily loud enough to gig with paired with one of my BF Compact 15’s. The 250 has been my spare and has seen very little use from new. The 800 has also seen little use in my ownership. A great pair of gigging amps with built in tuners and effects (TonePrint) that won’t break the bank. The 800 has the Helicon switch 3 too. Any questions please ask.
  3. But unfortunately the page can’t be found?
  4. I really love these amps but it’s far too good to be kept as a spare and so is up for sale. Theres not so much it doesn’t do. Loads of amp emulations and effects, tuner. It’s a regular bassists Swiss Army Amp 😁 It’s in really good condition, fully functional and so is the MB padded case. It also comes with the DV MB Midi Pedalboard to control the built in effects/amps/tuner and other functions. Also has the original box. Markbass burb - https://www.markbass.it/product/6598/ Trades, PX welcome. I may be interested in - Lightweight combo, Walkabout Scout 12 combo, X-touch Universal. Westone Thunder 3 or Thunder 2 Mk2. Maybe 22 fret Jazz. Any questions please ask. Collection and trial preferred from Blackburn Lancs but shipping can be arranged at buyers cost and risk.
  5. I had one of these. Played like butter. Don’t know why I sold it really. GLWTS
  6. Of all the things I don’t need but I really want 🤣 My favourite combo! I think these were about £1600 when new? Weigh about 72lb? I could have sworn mine went to 700w at 2Ohm? Lots of question marks, it’s been a while! Fabulous piece of kit. At £200 you could probably never need another bass rig. GLWTS.
  7. I had one of these around 2005. A beauty she was. A super skinny necked tone monster. Had Barts in it as far as I remember. I’ve always regretted selling it as it was such a lovely player. Alas, I needed a Precision and so it went. If I had the cash I’d be sorely tempted. GLWTS
  8. Based in East Lancs. Competent management agency contracted Clash tribute band looking for full time or equally competent dep bassist for paid work. The present bassist is leaving (myself) and gigs are booked and more are being lined up at venues across the country. You don’t need to look like Paul Simonon but a white Precision would be a nice touch 😁 It’s my job at the moment but I’m leaving due to arthritis creeping in. I’m ok gigging locally but travelling around the country, hanging around for hours, playing then travelling home for is getting a bit much. The other 3 lads are great to work with, we all have quirks that we all take the piss out of too 🤣 It’s an easy friendly gig. Know the songs. Play them well and have a laugh. That’s all there is to it really. Don’t be bothered about your age either, everyone is in their late 50’s. Please PM if you are interested or want any more info.
  9. I did indeed and it is a great bass 😁 Its price tag does not reflect how well made it is and how good it sounds either. Both my semi acoustics aren’t being used for the simple reason all my work requires Precisions and something with 22 frets.
  10. Bought a BF Compact from Muzz in another dodgy BC car park meet 🤣 Cab exactly as described. Always good to put a face to a name too. Deal with confidence. Thanks again Muzz. Cheers Dunc
  11. Bought a TC head from Mike. It arrived the next day, well packed and exactly as described. Great communication and a great experience all round. Thanks again 😁 Cheers Dunc
  12. I sold Dave my BF Super Twin. Great transaction. Great communication. Instant payment and a thoroughly good lad to deal with all round. I wouldn’t hesitate to deal with him again. Enjoy the cab Dave 😁 Cheers Dunc
  13. I guess they are just checking everything is working ok and you have some sort of decent level. The presumption being that you will let them know if you need ‘more’ when the band is playing?
  14. The thing is, they do get asked back and get decent money!
  15. The trouble is they know nothing about PA’s but insist in being in charge of the sound. If the level of the guitars remained a constant then the gain could but each gig the guitar levels are up and down, something I don’t think there’s any need for with in ears. They even turn their amps up sometimes if they need some more guitar in their monitor 😂 There should be no feedback but the singer/guitarist has his guitar way too loud onstage and won’t turn down (or does the pretend to turn the dial). It makes no difference to him as he’s playing rhythm and is on IEM’s anyway. Take just that into account and everything becomes too loud onstage, hence the feedback. Too loud on stage and the PA isn’t doing enough work I think.
  16. Far too late 😂 They use an XR18. I’ve been using one for 10 years and when I mentioned we should be using the gains, the reaction was that we should get an engineer in to set it all up. Now I’m very capable of doing that but I think they believe it only needs doing once and then it can be left like that forever. Maybe they’ve misunderstood using ‘scenes’? I’ve even took mine into rehearsals and set it all up, sorted all the in ears etc but they won’t use that desk because they know their desk gets a good sound? It’s a very odd situation. Voodoo almost 😂
  17. I’d certainly opt for choice 2. One band I play in have the oddest way of sound checking I’ve ever come across. Everything goes through the PA regardless the size of the venue. Firstly, the drummer stands out front and gets the levels of the guitars right and then the vocals. Then he gets on his kit and the singer/guitarist goes out front and does the level of guitar/vox with the kit. This is all done using the volume sliders not by adjusting any of the gains at all? Gain does not seem to be important, as it’s messing about? Then, everything starts feeding back and they won’t listen to anything I have to say about everything being all ass about tit. Then they start using the volume controls on the active cabs to control the feedback by turning everything down 😂 Apparently it has to be done that way as we have no time to mess about as it’s unprofessional ? This is virtually every gig we do when we have to use our own PA. As we all use in ears ,I would have thought that feedback wouldn’t be an issue. Maybe that being really loud onstage is though 🤣
  18. As above in good condition. Gigged (not extensively) so not pristine. An easy one man lift. Has built in wheels too for ease of movement. 1200w @4ohm so powerful enough for any situation. I'm using in ears mostly now and so don’t need such a powerful cab but would px with cash my way for an original BF Midget or Compact 15 possobly a Super 3rd. I’ve found some photos of the cab from around Christmas time and put them up. The cab is in the rehearsal room and I don’t have access until next week to take some recent pics but it looks more or less just like it does in the pics below. Collection from BB22SH, meet depending on distance. Postage possible at buyers cost and risk. Will be well packed though.
  19. Mike bought a desk from me. Instant payment and great comms. Nice fella to deal with all round. He even took the Parcelforce Express AM special delivery service that took 3 days to arrive in good spirits 😁 Would have no problem dealing with Mike again. A positive experience all round. Thanks again. Cheers Dunc
  20. Greg Bennet by Samick Royale 3. MM Seymour Duncan Designed Humbucker plus a Seymour Duncan Designed preamp. Volume, Blend,Treble and Bass. It has an Gotoh battery box installed replacing the screw on cover. Also has upgraded Wilkinson machine heads. I guess it’s under 9lb as it doesn’t feel a heavy bass. 40mm at the nut. Nice bass that sounds and plays much better than its price tag suggests. I ended up using it as a first for a while as it excels with vintage chorus type effects. Selling as I’ve acquired far too many Precisions and I still have GAS for Fender shaped things 😞 No case with this. Collection preferred from BB22SH. If the buyer wants it posting at their cost and risk, then I’d have to source suitable packaging. It will be securely packaged.
  21. Bought some rack ears from Rosie. Everything went as it should 😁 Top BC’er. Thanks again! Cheers Dunc
  22. Bought a bridge from David. It arrived safely and in no time at all. Exactly as described too 😁 Thanks again David. Cheers Dunc
