Would The Beatles have been 'better' or sold more records if Macca has played a 12 string?
The Beatles actually split up because John wouldn't let Paul have his 11-string bass cover of the Super Mario theme as the opening track on Abbey Road.
 2.
Sub contra master Yves Carbonne http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ILbAVo6FBKI
Wow, that sounds bloody awful. Sounds like someone trimming a privet hedge with a banjo. It's worth watching the video for the occasional moment where he tries to fret notes on the bass strings and realises he'd need to have been born with orang-utan hands.
 3. Does it have any carry handles fitted? Can't see any in the photos.
 4. Cheers. Q-Tron provisionally sold. Just the BMS and CEB-3 to go.
 5. Dual looper sold pending payment, Q-Tron added.
 6.
Once it gets to the UK it may sit in a depot whist they dictate, type and post a letter/ransome note to you telling you they have a parcel and you have to pay the VAT and stuff to get it
Yeah it's probably delayed at HMRC. It can take three or four weeks, maybe longer, for a parcel to get to your door from the USA.
 7.
I know that sounds harsh but i just cant get into religion, but i do appreciate what the church does for people
Like helping to spread AIDS in Africa and so on? I used to go to church regularly when I was 15/16 but only because I was shagging a Baptist minister's daughter.
 8.
Argh! My dream Jazz. Presume theres been some routing for those EMG's then? Rough price in mind? PM me if you'd rather.
FWIW I fitted an active EMG replacement set to a Jazz I had in the '90s and managed to squeeze the battery into the control cavity with no routing. I remember it well because for some reason I couldn't find a screwdriver that day so I used the tip of the blade on a new penknife to put the control plate back on, and of course the knife snapped shut on my index finger and I needed stitches.
 9. I think it sounds pretty nice tbh. I could use a gated fuzz too. Hmm...
 10.
why did he leave?
I would've left the day after Toby Smith. Maybe he was just stoned or something, and so it took him a long time to realise Toby Smith had gone.
 11. I should really do that to my Stingray. My house is full of old wiring and dimmer switches and my 'ray fizzes whenever a light is on. Good work.
 12.
I really like the Warwick two piece design execpt for one thing - the stringball holder. The open access is good, but the strings will often pop out whilst your're tightening the machineheads. Gets very annoying.....
Can't say it bothers me too much. I'm willing to put up with it for such a nice-looking bridge.
I think the real 'hero worship' of Badass products comes from those who find stock Fender bridges lightweight and a bit cheap and nasty. I'm in that group.
Me too. I had a US Jazz once where the E and A saddles would actually lose height while I was playing.
 13. You could have a crack at Feliz Navidad. It worked out OK for Voodoo Glow Skulls. Or Fishbone's "It's a Wonderful Life"?
 14. Hmmm....
 15.
i wish id gone for the blowtorch now, i miss it!
The Blowtorch is totally last week, everybody's buying the BMS now. Get with the times.
 16. There must be people who are cheaper than you here.
 17. Bump! Someone needs these pedals, surely.
 18.
+1... wasn't sure if it was just me, but although the playing was amazing, in that clip of The Who with Entwistle's bass track solo'd (someone posted the link a while back), IMO the bass sounded just terrible!
John Entwistle always sounded like sh*t to me too. And I've never seen a bass player more obsessed with over-complicated gear.
 19. The main impression I'm getting from this thread so far is that some people aren't aware of how awesome the Bass Micro Synth is. Buy it from me. Seriously. I don't lie!
 20.
You may hate Hucknall
Thanks, don't mind if I do.
 21. A few bits and pieces need to go. EHX Bass Micro Synth + power supply - £115 shipped Older style "coal barge" stainless steel case, not the new XO model. A few surface scratches (unavoidable with these types of EHX cases really) but apart from that it's fine. Never been stomped on - I've always had it in a loop. With box, instruction sheet and power supply. Still my favourite pedal but pedalboard space issues mean I'm trading up to the new, smaller one. Boss CEB-3 Chorus - £35 shipped No box, no instructions, couple of little chips out of the paint on the top, otherwise v. good nick. *SOLD* MXR Bass Blowtorch - £75 shipped *SOLD* Smooth-sounding fuzz with very tweakable EQ section and wet/dry blend, strangely no hiss even at max. gain and treble. One battery cover missing, the other broken but seems to be holding together with velcro (the velcro broke it - velcro is stronger than plastic, lesson learned!). Will ship with a generic 18v PSU, original box, no instructions. *SOLD* Moen Two Loop Bypass Switch - £30 shipped *SOLD* Stomps and LEDs for loop A and loop B, plus master bypass stomp. *SOLD* EHX Q-Tron + power supply - £50 shipped *SOLD* With box + instructions, velcro'd bottom, lovely filter I just don't have room for it any more. As usual if anyone wants to collect these from me in York, thus avoiding shipping charges, knock a fiver off. I'll try to have quality biscuits in.
 22.
Same here. I should have bought these.
I was sorely tempted too, just bad timing or I'd have had them.
