Even if it was a reference to the so-called "Doomsday Clock", even that has a tendency to move back and forth.
(Don't think 'Arry wrote it. Might've been Bruce & Adrian)
Sting might know. He's from Wallsend, that's just to the North.
Slayer haven't quite made it yet. They're still going On and on South of Hebburn. I suppose they're wandering around in Usworth as we speak.
Call me an aesthete (and I'm not normally) but there are two deadly faux pas relating to F-holes that I simply couldn't tolerate;
1) wiring showing in the lower one
2) pale, untreated wood showing through the hole. Paint it! Preferably black.
Otherwise, I'd quite like one. But I'm not sure what for! 🤣
I know there are many variables (especially active pickups) but broadly speaking, I agree with this from my experience.
I'd hazard a guess that (hopefully) the onboard EQ has been voiced (or at least selected) to complement the instrument. A pedal won't have been, as its brief is much broader. And then there's the rack-mountable pre-amps and EQs.
I have an old Ampeg SVP-Pro, and thats a different flavour again. But the valves would have something to do with that..
Looks promising.
It's a real pity that it doesn't have Series/Parallel/Single coil switching for the humbuckers. Or maybe a 5 position switch (bridge, outer, inner, both, neck)
That'd make it very versatile.
They do a RBJ67/5 too. Basically a jazz 5.
I have found a song full of factually correct lyrics.
Albedo 0.39 by Vangelis.
Although you'll have to forgive the use of imperial units, a slightly old-fashioned expression of g , and the fact that the Albedo of a planetary object may be defined (and therefore calculated) in more than one way.
@DiMarco
I agree with the "Jack of all trades" comment.
I'm sure you do prefer your Zon and Fodera to your Dolphin, but they are "up a notch" in terms of quality and cost (although I'll warrant a German Dolphin costs a lot now!)
See, even I'm confused! Is the passion S4 just bass/mid/treble 3 EQ?
Re: The Arpege EQ, I have a Warwick Fortress Masterman 5, and that has Bass/Treble on each half of its Twinjazz pickup (plus blend and volume) and that can produce some interesting tonal variations, so the Arpege ought to be very versatile.
So we've broadened the search a bit..
From Warwick/Mayones to Warwick/Mayones/Maruszczyk/Wal
There's a natural wood theme here.. maybe ACG and Rob Allen deserve a look-in?
The MM (bridge) and J (neck) is a tried and tested combo, so this should be ok.
However, I think that the P should be reversed, and (unlike a MM) it can't be coil-tapped for more tonal options.
White strat knobs? No thanks.
Depends how well your octave unit tracks, I suppose.
Can you source the strings you need for piccolo tuning readily enough? (are they ~half the gauge of the usual ones? 65,55,45,35,25 or thereabouts?)
If so, go for it. See if you like it!
