Hi, fitted my John East/ACG filter based preamp to my Warmoth Jazz last year. It's a great bit of kit. The bottom end is absolutely thunderous! However, I think I prefer a more traditional way of going about setting up my tone, and have decided on an Audere pre with a more traditional vol/vol/treble/bass/passive tone, so my ACG is up for sale. Currently this preamp would set you back £205 new. I'm after £120 or thereabouts. Just looking to cover most of the cost of the Audere. Any takers?
Do you have any photos --Whats the configuration of the pots/ knobs and Is it a standard Jazz plate with the jack socket on it? Will.
Not wishing to sound like a plum but, well, what are these covers for, what was the original purpose? ...do they do anything for the tone, playablity....or are they more a bling item......and don't those pick up covers get in the way when playing? this sort of thing..be aware these are puka Korean made bridge covers, not Chinese tat.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BASS-GUITAR-BRIDGE-C...2b10a11fede96b6
I think the original idea was to shield the pickups to help prevent feedback and hum!
Ive been hearing good things about these pups recently but cant seem to find many reviews about them, does anyone on here use them and how do u rate them? Cheers
I have the Kent Armstrong vintage alnico in one of my P basses ( I also have P-bass's with a Wizard Thumper and an original 78 Fender + a Japan SQ and an Aerodyne ) and the Kent is my favourite soundwise! You are welcome to come and try them out for yourself if you are nearby anytime! Will.
Are the Hipshot Ultralites for a 2+2 or a 4-a-side headstock? If they're 2+2 I may well take them off your hands. A
I think the Ultralites are reversible -- My larger ones certainly were --I had them on my Gibson SG Bass before I put them on my Fender Jazz neck. Will.
At that price I'm certainly interested! Do you have soundclips (preferably with roundwounds rather than nylons? As I've no idea what it'd sound like through an EMG.
Hi Sorry dont have any soundclips. Never had rounds on it, You are welcome to come and try it out anytime but you will have to bring your own roundwounds. Will.

Are you interested in this as a swap for the Aerodyne? I have a Made in Japan "62 reissue" Telecaster approx 1985/86 Its sunburst with cream binding on an Alder body fitted with EMG pickups. Has a few dings and a bit of buckle rash but looks, plays and sounds great. Comes with a Ritter gigbag. And Im not far away ( in Leeds ) if you want to come and try it out! Will.
Hi Will I know seeing it in the flesh, as it were, would be hugely preferable to posting, but not possible I'm afraid. It really is a pity as I already have a Bronco (fretted maple) and this little lot would give me every possible combination of two basses. Regards Jim
PMed
Hi I would be interested in this bass but unfortunately can't collect. Regards Jim
Dont have a case for shipping it. I could possibly remove the neck for shipping but I much prefer the buyer to view it and try it out first. Will.
