4.
So this hasn't happened to me before, but my EBS 212 has a fried crossover and both drivers need replacing. Cost of repair is roughly the same as getting something else a little bit more reliable. So what's the best way of disposing of it? Would anyone be interested in the enclosure? Never had to fully 'dispose' of anything before
Whereabouts are you?
 5.
I have an incomplete set of the Jazz Flats (344 long scale) bass strings. These have been on my bass in the bass but not for very long and have loads of life left in them. Ideal for spares if you use these TI strings! I have the A (.070), D (.056), and G (.043) the E string (.100) is missing. £10 delivered to a UK address
PMed
 6.
I'll have those black Wilkinson tuners I put on that Geddy Will ? cheers Simon
Sorry Simon -- Just noticed this I am keeping all the black hardware for the time being, but you never know! If I decide to sell you will have first dibs on the tuners. Will.
 7. Not very good photo and in Brand name he says its a Music man OLP! Will.
 8.
I'm going to take Beedster's advice and try to lighten my Precision Special. Does anyone know what lighter weight tuners will be a fit without drilling new holes? Been looking at the deluxe tuners with the black back, but don't fancy drilling holes for the locating pins. Any ideas?
I have just put Hipshot Ultralite 1/2" on my Geddy Lee neck and they fit fine, You do have to drill 1 new hole for each tuner but it will be covered up if you put the original tuners back on. Will.
 9. Hi and welcome from a fellow Yorkshireman!
 10.
Hi guys, I'm selling my stingray. 11.
Are these genuinely rare? I thought they were just the standard Jazz shape for about 4 or 5 years around the early 90s? If so, there must have been thousands sold.
They were classed as the USA standard jazz at the time, but for some reason you dont seem to see many for sale! Anybody on the forum got one? There is another one here; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1993-Fender-USA-Amer...=item2c5151f3e7

 13.
I briefly had a Dano 63 long scale in red and hated it, it was too light and if you like the deep sound of a usa jazz then it don't work for me. Status looks awesome, not sure about the upper bout going that far along the neck, that's very close to where I play, agree they look awesome though. I COULD saw some bit's off my Jazz, maybe even drill some holes but......... I think the fender lyte looks promising, can you still get them new?
No! --- they stopped making them a few years ago
 14. Hi Chris If you email Scott at Fender support I have always found him very helpful with obscure Diagrams. [email protected] Will.
 15. Hi Tom If you are in the Leeds area anytime you are welcome to try out my Fender Lyte! and see if its suitable for you I also have a very lightweight but superb quality Landing L1 hand made USA bass you could try out ( Short Scale ) Will.
 16.
Hmm.. Will have a go again, but the height of the pickup doesn't seem to make that much difference. Could it be a dead string? James Edit: I think I simutaneoulsy posted this with 2x18's reply above.. Will try some other strings - any suggestions as to what I should go for?
If your talking Flats, I now use mainly Ti Jazz Flats and D,Addario stainless flats.
 17. I have had the same problem with Rotosound flats on one of my Jazz basses -In my case it was a duff G string. I dont use Rotos any more!

 21.
Why's that? I've got a Gotoh 201 fitted and have just bought a Badass 2 to try it.
They are both quite solid and chunky, well made and similar sounding, but I prefer the looks of the Gotoh! I have a Badass 2 on my Geddy Lee and I have the 201 on another Jazz and also on a Precision. ( + The Gotoh is also cheaper, which is very important to us Yorkshiremen ) Will.
 22.
I have been reading the Badass II forum post (very informative) and while it is generally accepted that the Badass bridges are the most suitable, what others are OK for use on 70s US Precisions, and what other recommendations does anyone have? Thanks for opinions. Phil.
I personally prefer the Gotoh 201 to the Badass 2 for my Fender Jazz and P-Basses
 23.
hi everybody , i have a fender mustang reissue and a gibson sg reissue and i would like to replace both sets of strings . i'd like a warm with a hint of growl type sound ! is such a sound possible ? or will i have to have warm on one and growl on the other ? i know the pick ups dictate sound to an extent and both will sound different anyway . so , i would be grateful for any advice or recommendations forthcoming , thanks in advance .
I have had both those Basses and for me after much trial and expense both were fitted with Ti Flats ( Thomastik Infeld )
 24.
I'd get the shielding sorted out before you make any further decisions about upgrades.
I will second that! Both my Jazzes have Dimarzios fitted and they are totally hum free.
