1. Sorry - but it leaves me cold. Heretical as it may be it's just some aimless noodling - largely without any real point to it, it seems to me. To be honest he might as well be tuning up. Sorry but I just don't get it, and that's no diss on you guys that do. However... If you wanna a real man play the bass, check this out: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7_wGFfrJv4Y
2. A long time ago I had an Axe bass - (you used to be able to buy them from the back of Kerrang for £99) - and in a fit of minor insanity used it to beat the cr4p out of both it and my amp. By the time I had finished the amp had several very big holes in it and the guitar was completely in pieces. Completely. I was left holding what remained of the headstock, with 2 or 3 strings attached and with blood pouring down my arm from where the ends of the frets had cut into my hand as I had been swinging the rapidly disintegrating neck with what was left of the guitar body over my head and into the amp. I managed to take out the amp, the guitar, my hand, several CDs, a door, and part of a wall - (well the plaster), and my Boss multi-pedals. I tend to put it down to "having a bad day". I went straight out the very next day and bought my Aria, on arriving back at my lodgings I ran up the stairs with it and promptly smacked the headstock on the ceiling, knocking out a large chunk of veneer and laquer - (or whatever) - from the headstock. Not to worry though, a permanent black marker pen effected a near invisible touch-up job!
3.
arpeggio in C maj
Meh, neither can I.
4. Thank you for your responses all, that's me sorted then!
5. Right apologies in advance but I am new to active basses and genuinely I don't know the answer to this... My bass does not have a battery test light, so how do I know whether the battery is flat or not??? Seriously, how can I tell? It's an Ibanez icb200 ex. Thank you!
6. Nah - I just figured that if I could somehow link both of them together, they would cancel each other out, or disappear in puff of internet-rage, or something...
7. I use them all the time and I love them. But the sort of music I make requires that I use them, so I guess it's horses for courses...
8. Yeah! Wot he said. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...80&start=80 Snigger.
9. We did ours using some free cd burning software, a printer with a cd template, some printable cds and a A4 pad of cards, cost about £25.
10. I would go for the RC-20XL, rather than the single pedal one.
11. Red ones, made of that synthetic woven material that's really tough. Use Dunlop straplocks, though if they EVER arrive, I'll put Schallers on.

13.
Mr Pink blew my socks off
>snigger<
14.
Sorry, but that wasn't a strop. No offence intended, but compared to some of the stuff that's been flying around here, it was like a sheep clearing its throat on a distant hillside.
I'd like a poll on that. And you haven't said what sort of sheep.
15.
tBBC can get you one he is going out there on Friday.
Epic Pun Amusement. Seriously though, I threw all my toys out of the pram last week and threatened to leave and everything, but - and here's the rub - I didn't institute a poll. Can I therefore now please have a sticky poll as whether or not I should have a poll about the fact that I had a big old strop last week; kind of a retrospective poll, if you will.
16. Dancing For Architecture Are pleased to announce a further 3 tracks: 1. The Gaia Progeny 2. At The Finnish 3. Desert Shores Available for listening at MySpace - Dancing For Architecture on MySpace
17.
Tried one of these out in the wonderful MORMusic shop in York on Wednesday. Very different sound from the Ibanez I already have. SRX is very bright, very piano. The Iceman base has got more thud and thunder. Previous player had left it in drop D with volume turned low for a dirty rock sound. Very impressive. Sits on the knee great. How is it on the strap? Neck stud is in the middle of the bolts I think...
Actually it's really good on the strap - possibly a touch heavy in the neck I have found, but a good playing position nonetheless - very impressed all round.
18. As the venerable Mr Git says - it's such a personal thing. There's no golden rule to be honest, it pretty much comes down to what you want.
19.
oh rly
Yeah rly www.myspace.com/dancingforarchitecture or alternatively, as we have signed a distribution deal; you can go here: www.lbarecords.com - and click on the DFA logo.
20. IBANEZ ICB200-EX and here's a shot of my other bass - an Aria Pro II --- I love the Ibanez. It's an amazing bass to play and I absolutely can't get enough of it - tone, playability. As it's active as well it seems to play very differently from my passive Aria, and the nexy feels so much quicker! I love it!
21.
Nice! I do love that Iceman shape
I very recently became the (very) proud owner of a black Ibanez icb200ex iceman - I Love It.
22. and if for whatever reason you utterly f*ck it up you could possibly be left with an expensive novelty-shape ironing board.
