I asked a similar question and got the response that if you've got two outputs use 'em! Twofold reasons, one: if it's got it as an option, there must be some benefit two: if the lead from amp to cab-A dies mid gig, you loose all sound, whereas if you're running two leads from your amp to two cabs, if one dies you get a drop in volume but can carry on playing. BTW, was good to put a face to the name! wish I'd managed to have a go on the JD, mebby next time eh?
Sounds reasonable to me. Jaydee next time, your first on the list!

My gear is now as below having added the two cabs bought from Monz at the SE Bash (cheers). Both cabs are 8 ohm, amp runs down to 4. Ideal! Question is do I run a lead from both speaker outputs, one to each cab, or one lead into one cab and then from there into the other cab to get maximum performance. Colin

Plugged my Jaydee Fretless into this at the Bass Bash.......oh yes what a sound! Couldn't believe the volume from the little bugger, even with all the other rigs being caned at the same time it just kicked ass. Buy this combo you won't regret it! Or else don't sell it onehappybunny you will regret it!!
I was in two bands, juggling dates, and have finally accepted the inevitable and bowed out of one. They're based in Bishops Waltham, Hants and gigs are usually round that way (Eastleigh, Winchester, etc). The MySpace is in my sig below (Somethin Else). Music is 60s/70s R&B, rock, soul. Star man is the sax player (ex-pro) who is breathtaking; it's a privilege to share a stage with him. Other players are 2xguitar, drums, vocals; nice guys if lacking Dave's star quality. Ages mid 20s to mid 50s. Healthy gig sheet through to New Year's Eve. PM me if interested and I will make the intro. Not my decision, of course, but would be nice to pass this nice little gig on to a fellow BCer. Mick
Bugger, about 40 miles too far! Good luck to the new man, looks a good crack!

Bumpski Lumpski for a still Ugly Old Fat Git Bass Player who has upgraded with a couple of Ashdown cabs and needs to give them the beans they deserve!

I've just upgraded my cabs so here is a home made 1x15 bass cab free to collect from Woking Surrey or I can deliver very locally. I got it dirt cheap on the Bay and it works fine. It's a bit tatty, but is pretty light weight and has handles on the side. I have no idea of wattage or ohmage so it's a case of suck it and see. Please note this is just for the cab, yer not having me little Pervey!

A collection was made at the Bass Bash and I believe flowers and a card are being sent to his family on behalf of the forum. I didn't see the name of who it was who took the collection but thanks for doing that and as said before RIP Leftysteve........too bloody young to go!

Well it's been a cracking day, only just got home after the Bash and then going over to South London to see a friend playing in a swing band in a massive church. Was great to see the faces of the names, big shout to Silverfoxnik and Merton for all the organisation. Hey Monz, glad you made it home ok, yeah that M25 can be a bit nasty sometimes, my work takes me round it all the time and it ain't pretty. Cheers for doing a fantastic deal on those cabs, they will get a work out later today. I was told the money might be going towards a GB Spitfire fund, well good luck with that, you can't go wrong IMHO, Bernies basses are the nuts! Good to see Adrian again, he used to relieve me of many quids when I was in Devon and he worked the shop in Mansons. I took a few photos and when I get up later this morning I'll upload them, also I videoed most of the GB demo by Bernie and if the quality is ok I'll put it on youtube. sh*t, it's 1.30am and I'm still buzzing!! Nighty night........can't wait for the next one!

Just a thought, as there seem to be a lot of posts giving reviews and asking advice about certain shops and distributors would it be worth having a separate forum or sticky to discuss this?
I got the DVD+Cd of that Budokan 96 gig (Nard's last) 2years ago. Jill Jones is rather easy on the eye too....
YOWSAH YOWSAH YOWSAH!! She was with Prince too. The Budakan Dvd is regular viewing for me. I seemed to have got into some bass players after they were gone, Edwards, Jaco........it drives you crazy wondering what they would be up to now if they had survived. The music is always there so it has to do. -
Post your pictures, Lets see what you all look like.

Looking for a covers band, blues/rock/pop sort of thing. Nothing too intense as my job takes up a lot of my time but as long as I have plenty of notice of gigs/rehearsals etc I'm ok. Currently playing a fretless and also have a cheapy 5 string, which will be upgraded at sometime, running into an old Peavey. I live in Woking,Surrey and would like to find something pretty local and also something that is pretty much up and running. I'm a quick learner and I've had many years gigging experience. Cheers Colin

You need one of these at home!!!

Well I'm totally overwhelmed by some of the the classy kit on here but as I'm only just starting back on the road to greatness here's my cheapo rig, not the bass I hasten to add but the rig only cost me £100. We're looking at a Jaydee Supernatural Roadie fretless(cheers Rich), a Peavey Mark3 series head(cheers Labougie) and an unknown custom built 1x15 bought VERY cheap on Ebay!(cheers Stuart) Better find me self a band then!!!
