1. Bump for Badass free 100 quid price drop...
2. Very cool bass but need to move it on. American Vintage 1975 reissue jazz bass. You know the score - fantastic Fender jazz basses ...and this is a good one. I would prefer local meet up and deal, not posting. specs - very light at 8.5 lbs - perfect balance - G&G case - ash body with natural gloss - maple neck and fretboard with black blocks - stock pups which sound great - badass installed - 70s pup arrangement - microtilt system which works fantastically. This bass has extremely low action and 7.25 inch fretboard radius. It's amazing... Alternatively, if you want to save 100 quid on this great bass. I keep the Badass and its yours for 850. Stock bridge will be reinstalled.
3. I've said it before and will say it again - probably the best production bass in the world at the minute...
4. Withdrawn from sale
5. When I see a spoiler I think of the bass sound that underpinned one of the greatest bands that ever trod the boards, The Revolution. Brownmark is a serious player…murky sound but you get the picture. What a band! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjAu3fVaPHQ
6. Withdrawn
7. Ah 'We Supply"…that's funky right there...
8. These 'Rays have such great necks. Awesome basses...

10. Thanks for that, cheers, Nick
11. I have every sympathy for the teenage bedroom thwacker for I was one of them. I understand the magnetic attraction of chugging away with 3 winds of electricians tape on the thumb. But that was 1987, and this is now…
This place is a treasure trove of euphemisms.
12. Want to avoid UPS and the like. Any recommendations for shipping a bass (in hardcase in quite a large box with padding inside) to Holland? Need it be reliable and insurable. I'm based in Kent. Cheers! Nick
13. I love it when Me'Shell and Prince do it…buuuuut ...thwacking 16ths in your bedroom in Em on youtube ain't so cool in my book
14. This is too good to go…it is staying with me!
15. Wahhh, exactly what I need…thump thump thump…very nice bass. I would go Sonic/Mint myself...
16. Gallup is great and Smith is a fantastic guitarist…love The Cure
17. Amp is not the key element in his sound as he probably went straight in to the board, but an Ampeg SVT and 810 was his standard live rig I gather. The voice of the 'Ray is very dominant...
18. Stingray classic (2 band) with dead nickel round wounds or flats. Thump city...
19. Prescription reads thomastik jazz flats…
20. Heads up - a mere 11 quid for the kindle edition! Downloaded...
21. Neck profiles on new 'Rays are really uncomfortable. My tried and tested solution is this. Buy a second hand Stingray Classic….check the weight first (make sure it's not too heavy. i favour 9lbs or under)…the necks feel great and I say that as a huge fan of skinny jazz and Ric necks. Here's one which has no affiliation with me…for under 1100 quid. http://www.thebassga...e=Bass%20Guitar
22. lollipop tuners! is it a skinny neck for a jazz or chunky?
23. i think this was sold by his daughter about five years ago on ebay. If memory serves it went for about 900 quid. Sad story. The guy was an incredible musician but the booze got him...
24. Ahhh, they broke the mould with Mick Karn. A genius...
