  6. I bought two of the other ones on eBay for £64 for two doh!, hope they are as good they look exactly the same spec and size, if not I will return them.
  7. They are now at £76.99 each, there are similar ones on eBay for £34.00 are these the ones you are all talking about and have bought?
  8. Hi here is my Gibson Grabber G3, its all original and has been well used over the years, it has battle scars and loads of mojo, the original case is very battered and has various tears and repairs and both have been around the world a few times, but this only adds to its beauty in my opinion. It plays and sounds fantastic, as far as I know the truss rod is fine (I have never needed to adjust it as its setup perfect), the only thing that aren't original are three of the string supports at the bridge (originals come with it but they have had nail varnish poured on them to lock the allen grub screws in place, why I know not? I haven't tried to get them out but it shouldn't be too hard for a luthier or engineer to free them up). This is the earliest one made with the original see through pickup covers. I am OPEN TO CASH OFFERS MAY TAKE A GOOD USA P BASS AS A TRADE, these are on eBay and reverb between £1550 and £1700 so I am hoping this is a fair price for an original 1975 Gibson G3. Pickup preferred as I don't want to courier, UK only and will meet half way within hundred miles. Blurb below, The Gibson G-3 bass, or Grabber 3 bass, was launched in 1975, first shown alongside the Grabber at the 1975 NAMM show where it was very well received, with significant orders placed. They were initially referred to by Gibson as V-series basses, most likely because of the Flying V style headstock. The G-3 was based on the Grabber, the main difference being the pickup configuration. The G3 features three single coil pickups wired in humbucking configuration, whilst the Grabber, had one 'sliding' humbucker. Both were the product of guitar designer Bill Lawrence who joined Gibson in the early 1970s. and produced a number of similar guitar models at the same time, such as the Marauder, L-6S and S-1. The G3 features three single coil pickups wired in humbucking configuration. The pickups were designed by Bill Lawrence. The pickup selector works as follows: Forward position activates the front and middle pickups in humbucking configuration. The back position activates the middle and back pickup in the same manner. The middle position activates all three pickups for what Gibson coined a "buck-and-a-half".
  9. Sounds like you nailed it, it gets easier as you do more, I used to shake and sometimes throw up in the toilets before going on, once I got going I was fine. Now it doesn't bother me and my fear has gone, never give in to the fear otherwise it will only get worse.
  10. Great stuff from all concerned, voted for Lurksalot as it was really catchy and his mate is an Astronaut 🖖
  11. Roger Waters Signature Fender Precision Bass in mint condition apart from one tiny scratch to the lacquer (looks like the lacquer to me) on the bottom edge in black about 1/4 of an inch long, I can only get the photo of it that's shown and it lit the bass up a weird colour and shows the mark as white which it isn't, its hard to see unless you look close really (the marks that show on the bad photo close up aren't marks they are light, dust and crap reflecting from the flash, same applies to main photo's). One other tiny and I mean tiny indent in lacquer on back but that wont photograph at all, not noticeable unless you hold it under direct light and then its hard to find. This is basically as new condition and comes with all case candy including the sticker that was on the transparent film that I removed from the pick guard, but I haven removed wall sticker from the film so IT can be peeled of and used. Comes with the original receipt, strings are fine and it comes with the original gig bag in great condition. Receipt shows it was purchased in 2012, but the guy who I bought it off said he played it 4 times and gave up trying to learn and it had been stored under his bed ever since, the condition reflects this story. Not really interested in trades as I have just bought a 1975 Gibson Grabber G3 and need to pay for it. If you need any more information just ask, would prefer cash on collection or bank transfer, no PayPal unless sent as a gift to friends and family as I was stung in the past with PayPal. Check out my feedback on here below, I always try and describe items exactly as they are. Will meet up to 30 miles away but prefer you come to me and try it.
  12. If you paid all costs up front by bank transfer I would ship it to you if you paid for the the shipping and insurance, once it left me it would be your responsibility. I would make sure it was packed well. I would give you any help you needed with any insurance claim from my end e.t.c. Hopefully it wouldn't be needed. You can check my feedback below
