You talk a good talk, but a thread like this is nowt without pix!
+1 - we require visual stimulation, as well as aural (yes tBBC, that's spelt correctly).

Just an update on this, folks. I have now acquired a 1x15. So, I now need to sell one of my 12" cabs for cash, or both for cash + an ickle cab in PX. NB: I'm sure you already are aware that Bergantinos are as good as everyone says they are, and they don't come on the market to often.
cash price?
I'm genuinley not aware of the used price on these, but I've just spent £300 on a 4x10, so it would be nice to get a major contribution towards that. Offers in a sealed PM are welcomed, as is independent advice on resale value. Apart from the U/S tweeter, the condition on these cabs is excellent.

I've got an EX112 and an HT112. Both 300w 8ohms, about 17 kilos each. Fantastic for portability, clarity and transparency. HiFi speakers for the stage, basically. I want to keep one, but don't mind which, as the tweeter is not working on the HT112, and nor is it missed AT ALL. The only way I'd let both go is if I end up with some cash and a lightweight cab (like a 1x10), or a lightweight cab and a 1x15 (preferably Eden). I'll be using them at a gig at Guiseley on Saturday 27th December, if that's of any use.

I'd just love to see the 5 and 6 string versions that have been promised on the Status website for about a year!
Hello! It's The Frazer Theatre. Drop me a PM nearer the time if you want to come along and I'll pop your name on the door. Or you can pop to the soundcheck if you like. It'll be about 5pm...ish.
Say no more, squire! It's in my diary.
Forgot to mention - It's still my main gigging cab, so if you'd like to collect it or just come and give it a go I'm in Barnsley on Jan 3rd, Knaresbrough Jan 23rd or all around Newcastle the rest of the time.
Knaresborough is good for me. What's the venue?

Got mine in the states in 2005 when the dollar price was the same as the number of pounds the SansAmp was going for here. I used it once in the studio on the last track ('Chapters') I did on the Angie Shaw album and realised then that I should have used it throughout. Since then, it's been used for the singer's electro-acoustic guitar pre-PA, plus I've taken it on very quiet gigs where I used it instead of a backline combo. I have to say, that when I think of moving on things I don't use/can't afford, the SansAmp just doesn't figure. I just know I've got it for life and when I use it again, I'll REALLY need it. A bit like a decent pair of binoculars!
After many many years as a man in a mans body, and many many of those years as a man...Playing Bass,I announce that on this day,as I 'Come out' and join the resurgence of equality and fair rights for all, thats soft funishings CAN be beyond simple pastels, for the sheer obvious plus points, both in weight and beauty (Ive a Bad Back and a wonderful eye for looks) that I have gone HEADLESS!! AND WILL NEVER GO BACK......... Its brilliant, and my spines happy for me already.
Looks great. A JFG, if I’m not mistaken. I hope you'll bring it to the bash so I can see whether I need to 'come out' too!
Are Lancastrians allowed?
Defo! Considering I'm only allowed to live in Yorkshire through marriage (I'm from Berkshire), I'm not in a position to go all Geoff Boycott! -
I do have an urge for a Bass VI type instrument but only so I can buy some picks, go all twangy, and annoy guitarists.
Best way to annoy a guitarist is to turn up with a tiny Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 in your laptop bag, plug it in to a couple of shrunk-in-the wash 1x12 Bergo's and drown him out using only 20% of the power
I've been following this and other Spector threads with my Spector GAS snowballing! Chatting to Alan, John and others it seems like the whole package in terms of Eronomics, tone and build quality is just what I'm after. A Warwick style NT in a quality that Warwick I think have lost. Despair, the reasonable prices of late with Sound Control going down have all shot up to between £898 and £1099 Then, courtesy of Sean I was pointed towards a Black Cherry EuroLX4 and although it was priced initially at £899 a double check revealed the correct price to be £599. Guess what? Wednesday.
Awwwww what a nice tale, told so nicely. Until I joined Basschat, I was completely ignorant of the brand. But thanks to this forum, I was made aware of there being 'something about Spectors'. I took advantage of the Soundcontrol thing, and #### my old boots, I've hit total GOLD. Ergonomics, build quality, feel, sound ...it's better than I ever thought possible for a production line bass (mine's a Euro LX5-EX poplar burl). There's no mass neurosis here ...they really are brilliant instruments and the NT's will hold their value.
