1.
Now, how can I raise £4k
Sell yo ass, bitch!
 2.
Just an update - 'cos I know everyone was having sleepless nights over my agonising. I had a rethink, totally changed my goal posts and budget (my wife talked me into buying something new) and bought the Ashdown MAG C210T-300 EVO II combo. Should shut me up for a while. Thanks all.
Good choice.
 3.
Whoa - I want to see your band.
Cheers Musky, we used to do the intro to 'For Those About To Rock' too, but playing one of our own songs after that was just embarrassing, building the kids up like that, only to launch into utter rubbish. Check Evolve for our own sh*te.
 4.
I think it's kind of inevitable that it happens at some point. I realised the other week I'd ripped off something by avenged sevenfold. As long as people don't hear it and think 'Oh, it's that white stripes/avenged sevenfold/joe bloggs bassline' then I shouldn't think it matters.
Me neither. I'd draw the line at Ken off Bros's riffs though.
 5.
Hate to say it but Coda Music have that beat - £319 + delivery. At worst you're looking at £15 delivery, so that's 33.5p/watt...
Visa me up mush! Come to daddy, etc!
 6. Down to 38.1p / watt including delivery. Santa!
 7.
My 92 Jazz must be worth a fortune. £1K who wants it?
Bloody feeler posts.
 8.
Bernie ... is having a few problems with the computer again!!
No sh*t!
 9. Kerosene - Big Black Corona Belly - Victims Family Saturday Night [punk version] - Whigfield Ancient Mariner tho Mert - choice, man.
 10.
Because rip-off merchants dissappear when they're found out and us naughty people don't.
Good. Their profiles are still active though, no?
 11.
I'd say he's a rabbit in the headlights. He's apparently watched Jake's humiliation and has been reading this thread.
He's waiting for everyone to club together to save him spending any money. That's how it works. A question - why do naughty people appear to get moderated, while rip-off merchants don't? Or do they? <Dons suit>
 12.
heya fellas i see a lot of you folks are leaving negative feedbacks on talkbass to certain folks based on transactions not taking place there. could one of you guys pm me (at talkbass preferably) some of the details of this? although i do want to inform folks about potential shysters out there that may be trying to rip people off, i'm not convinced that the talkbass feedback system should be used in this manner. i'm discussing it with my fellow admins over there, and we'll take into account any information that you care to share with me. thanks john turner forum administrator - talkbass.com
PM'd on talkbass re Allen_Baker Cheers, John. EDIT: Don't get me started on Jake the Bass. [JakeBass over here}
 13.
Ah ok, did you get them specially ordered in or did they just have them hanging around? I’m quite interested cos I might need a fretted 4 string replacement neck in the not too distant future.
14.
If I lived near Allen_Baker I'd be happy to have words, but alas I'm at the other end of the country
Me too. ROAD TRIP!
 15.
"Weird, that's not how I "heard" it, just goes to show. In fact while it's a nice bumbling along bassline, it doesn't really drive the track, ... sounds to me like it's keys and guitar that drive it along."
Excuse me, but what a pair of cocks, kill them. f***, lets have a whip round and I'll come and do it for you.
 16.
A very funny one if you don't mind me saying
I do actually. I find it horrible. Boo-hoo, mummy etc. MUCH.
 17.
i think i shoul just be left and if anything comes from a bad sale/purchase then the person should be named and shamed like a kiddie fiddler on this board. Phase 2 should be a 'cock' fight between the 2 people. If the accused loses then they are stoned to death like the olden days. anyone?
Game on.
 18. I bet jakebass is laughing now. Even if he wasn't already after a bunch of lads he's never met forked out to get a bass half way round the world for him gratis.
 19. No UK distributor listed on the Spector site & no response to a sales query. Rapid response from the tech guys tho, 1st class. Spector Euros rock.
 20.
Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice, old skool.
Woo-Haa - Busta Rhymes - that's old skool n'all. Currently learning... Hole in the Head - Sugababes Something Kind Of Ooh - Girls Aloud One of which will replace our Whigfields 'Saturday Night' in the set. EDIT: It'll be nice to do a new song, rather than the old ones with the f***ing tempo changed randomly by a pissed drummer.
 21. I think Pablo [PauBass] uses a ParaDriver & an SVT together... Or try here?
 22. Wayne?
 23.
An oblique thought occurred to me, being basically a tight wad. There is no facility to add an extension cab to the TKO 80 but would it be possible to get the wiring jiggled to add one?
Not safely or effectively. Flog the TKO and put the money towards a new combo or seperates like what Musky & Chris said. For now, you may get more headroom by turning the post gain all the way up and using the pre gain as the volume control. Mind to turn them both down when powering up & down / plugging & unplugging though!
 24. Didn't Stuart Copeland have 'Sting is a c***' written on his tom heads or is it an urban myth? How much would they be worth?
 25. Someone has vandalised the front. I wonder what the 'W' means?
