1.
ill give u £300 for it...
£305! But seriously, they pop up every now and again in the 'For Sale' section and seem to be going around £1350. Might be worth having a look yourself though.
2. Bump! Willing to add up to £500 cash along with the bass for a decent trade. Although it'd have to be under 17mm spacing. Try me!
3. Great basses. I've only tried the 5 string version and it was great, but ended up saving my pennies for a higher end SR. Only bad thing about them (and all Ibanez basses) is their resale value.
4. Crash Course for Bass Guitar is written by Stuart Clayton. Best book I've ever seen to be honest.
5. Only £700 for a couple more days..
6. I don't wanna be 'one of those guys' but genuinely, if my bass sells, this is first on my list. Lovely looking bass.
7. Hi guys. After some successful advice from a recent thread I made, I finally purchased an electric guitar! Although it wasn't the Pacifica I was enquiring about it was a Fret King 'Geoff Whitehorn' Signature that I nabbed for around the same price as a 112V. Anyway, I'm a huge fan of guys like Scott Devine who provide extremely detailed and insightful tution for bass videos that really cover a lot of bases when it comes to all genres of music and styles. I'm wondering if there are guys like him who provide good advice and direction for new electric guitar players in a similar way as I'm hankering to get some teaching under my belt.
8. http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Mono_STRAPPS.html Mark provides the details here. Only linked it because I've been looking myself for a non-leather alternative that goes below 43". Only worry is that the GS1 is only 3 1/4" wide, whereas I'm used to a Neotech Neoprene strap that is 4" wide.
9. As lovely as your bass is, I'm definitely looking for a 5 string.
10. Same as Ped I think I'd never taken the time and money to have my bass properly set up and had always played with factory settings with only slight adjustments myself. Then I went to Joe in Birmingham and asked him to set it as low as possible and I was just blown away, it was like holding a brand new instrument. Now it's that low I don't think I'd ever go back to anything else...
11. As a young whippersnapper, I can't really see the appeal in vintage instruments . So see this post as simply a congratulations!

13. Price is £700 until the end of 2012.
14. Thanks, at least I know I won't be let down whichever guitar I buy. On a slightly unrelated note, I have a couple of guitars in mind and as I'm a beginner, I could do with some pointers! I have my eye on either the Pacifica 112V, Pacifica 120H or the Pacifica 212V. They all seem like good guitars of course, but I'm not sure whether the slight variations would make a difference.
15. The main ranges I'm curious about are the RGX and Pacifica's. I'm in a lucky position that I can get these at cost price and have wanted to purchase one (a guitar) for a long while. However as a total guitar noob, I have no idea if the Yamaha guitars are really as good as their bass counterparts. I know they're probably not bad but is there anything I should be looking for in terms of a 'bad guitar'?
16. Cheers. As you might be able to tell from the pics, the scratch in the finish is only seen in bright light. Normally it's not really noticeable.
17. Anything labeled as 'vintage' with a price to match. There are exceptions of course, but not many.
18. John Myung to a degree, although I've always been drawn to the bass in the songs that I listen to and that's always given me the drive to pick up the bass guitar until I did.
19.
G&L Tribute is 17mm, which is pretty close to what you're looking for.
Owned one of those and I loved the neck on them but the string spacing was definitely a factor in my decision to eventually sell it. I realise it's only small but I can definitely notice it.
Just had a look and they are not as easily available as they were are they? PMT have none at all in any stores and Guitar Guitar have one black one but I can't see which store it is at? I'm not far away (25 miles from B'ham) if you wanted to try mine, as you can see I have both a ceramic 2007 and an Alnico new spec one 2010
Shame I don't drive really..
20. My personal choice would be a Yamaha BB (because I like the sound and feel of them) or an Ibanez SR (a lot of choice even with a small budget and are extremely easy to play).
21.
One mm won't make any difference imo just get an mm sr5 you say nowhere near stocks ebmm but your avatar thing says birmingham?
Well I say that, but what I really mean is 'I've not seen any in the shops that I regularly visit'. If anyone knows of any stockists of Musicman basses in Birmingham then please let me know.
Failing that, Spector? Peavey? Warwick?
Spector 5 strings are hard to find to give them a try. And unfortunately the same case with Peavey and Warwick.
22.
Exactly! The bass I have with the widest spacing at the bridge also has the narrowest at the nut. Anyone looking at it purely from a bridge spacing PoV might be in for a bit of a shock when they actually played it. Therefore unless I'm supplying specifications for having a bass built I've stopped looking at the numbers and just go with how the bass feels when I play it.
Well that's certainly what I've done in the past. However, the basses that I'm really looking to try (5 string Spector's and 5 string Musicman's) aren't really stocked in any shops near me which is unfortunate. So I thought I'd turn to facts.
