  1. To quote Peep Show: "Do you have to live quite so relentlessly in the real world?" It's a fair point though...
  2. Morning all, Just put my ABM up for sale, a few unexpected bills necessitates it's departure
  3. For sale is my Ashdown EVO IV 600 amp head. Bought it a few months ago from this very forum, and has left the house twice since. Comes in a Hotcovers sleeve. Looks and sounds great, selling this to pay for unexpected bills. No trades please. Looking to move it for what I paid for it - £450. Collection from Witney, West Oxfordshire.
  4. How does it compare with the ABM in these terms
  5. Keeping an eye on this as you seem to test drive every amp I want... Thank you for your service to my bank balance!
  6. Price drop. The amp is removable, and you could use the space left behind above the speaker to store stuff... like letters, food, small pets etc. Whoever said Orange amps weren't versatile was lying.
  7. First proper playthrough with my new ABM. Beautiful.
  8. I just bought John's Ashdown ABM. Nice guy, good Comms, easy transaction... Deal with confidence.
  9. hi all. Recently purchased a BF Super Twin and am looking for a new amp to go through it. The RM800 Evo II seems to tick every box - does anyone have any experience with this combo?
  10. I'd be interested to know your thoughts as I've had my eye on one of these...
  11. I'm in Witney and definitely don't need a Vintera Jazz to go with my Vintera Precision. Especially not one with such a lovely burst.
  12. had a few bites on this but it's still here. make me an offer

  14. I loved mine. Don't regret selling it but do miss it, which seems a bit weird. It sounded great with a P and a pick.
  15. I would assume it's Birch Ply, like other Orange enclosures.
  16. Sunday bump... PMT have one of these for over £1k... Just saying.
  17. Update - need this gone so open to offers. For sale is my Orange OB1-300 combo. I bought this new from GAK in early 2019. It's been gigged twice (would've been more if it wasn't for Covid!) and has been my primary amp during that time, but moving it on as I want to try something new. Condition - it's been kept in an Orange sleeve, which has a few marks. The amp itself has a few very minor bumps around the corners and feet, and the tolex is very slightly peeling on the rear. The light on the amp sometimes doesn't switch on but it works exactly like it should. These are now discontinued, and have some great reviews YouTube. I won't bore you with my thoughts apart from it's really good, not too heavy and easy to get a great sound from. If you'd like to hear more, give me a message. Collection from Oxfordshire... I can be found in Witney, Didcot or Abingdon. Also happy to discuss delivering it for petrol £ within reason. Open to all sensible offers. Any questions, please shout.
  18. Yes and no... Sound engineers loved it too.
  19. I had a CTM100. Although I don't regret selling it (didn't use it enough), it's by far and away the best amp I've ever owned. I played it through an Ampeg 410 with the settings flat and all the buttons pushed in. Heaven.
  20. There is a third option – invent a time machine and stop myself selling my Bergantino CN212 in 2016, but my budget may not stretch to that.
  21. I’ll set the scene first… my current band is myself, one very loud guitarist (2x12 valve amp), one very loud drummer. Currently playing a Precision through a Mk 1 Orange TB500, using one of the studio’s many 4x10 cabs. Heavy rock/punk/surf – it’s a bit of a mix but it’s mainly filth. However, our rehearsal studio is closing down and our new space has no backline. I have a hefty Ashdown 4x10 in my garage, it sounds fine but is so heavy and the thought of parking and lugging the thing all over Oxfordshire for rehearsals and gigs isn’t great. In short, I need something smaller and lighter that can get loud. Tone isn’t too important as I change my mind about it every other day – I just need enough volume on tap. In an ideal world I can see myself with a bass on my back, amp in one hand, cab in another – a one trip wonder, if you will. I have narrowed it down to two options – Barefaced Big Baby or 2 x Orange OBC112. I’ve heard/read that one BB would be enough, but I can’t help but be sceptical, especially at the volumes I’m currently playing at. For gigs it probably wouldn’t be an issue as I’m usually DI’d, but I’m reluctant to spend £1k+ on something that may not have enough headroom. The Big Twin looks a little too large for me, even if it is light. Barefaced Big Baby owners - can it really do everything it claims to? On the other hand, the Orange 112’s look awesome and are a bit cheaper, but I will lose the One Trip Wonder aspect that I so crave. I’m confident two of these would give me more than enough power though. Has anyone tried/owned two OBC112's - what did you think of them? Yes, I realise I’m coming from a very narrow/simplified POV, so any further suggestions/advice are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
