  1. I have this in Seafoam and it's incredible. This is a bargain. GLWTS.
  2. This sums it up perfectly
  3. I've still not been there since it changed from Oxbrew, but heard it's still great.
  4. Amazing cab. I had one and I've regretted moving it on ever since. GLWTS, and if this around next month I may be in touch.
  5. I'm looking for the same photo 😂
  6. I was seriously considering the RB210 but upon reading this I'll give it a swerve, especially after the PF issues of the past.
  7. Lovely product, not sure on the price. I've got a LB30 and I've never been able to gig/rehearse with it so it's a bit of a luxury.
  8. Just did a trade with Terry. Good bloke, decent comms and a nice cuppa to boot. Deal with confidence. Cheers, Joe
  9. Was going to keep this but circumstances change quickly... Friday bump.
  10. Reluctantly selling my Sandberg California VS4. I really, really like this bass - the craftmanship and sound is amazing but for some reason I haven't fallen in love with it like I thought I would - it just isn't me. I bought it new from Bass Direct in June 2020 and it arrived around 6 months later, anyone on here who owns a Sandberg can vouch for their build quality. Like the CN212, the CTM100 and the Musicman USA SUB i'll probably regret selling this but this is what we do, right? 😉😂🙄😭 Here are the specs; 3 tone sunburst Alder body (nice grain) Pau Ferro fretboard with white dots (with some really nice "swirling") Maple neck (profile is somewhere between a P and a J) 2 band EQ, active/passive push pull switch Standard Sandberg pickup 3.58kgs according to my kitchen scales It's left the house about 3 times over the last year, for obvious reasons, and is therefore in excellent (9.5/10) condition. It has been stored in a mono case and doesn't really come out much, so has avoided any major wear and tear. A few very minor bumps around the side of the bass that I can't even photograph, apart from that the body/neck are absolutely fine. The SB logos on the pickups have worn away (this happened really quickly), and there is a small amount of rust on the poles under the D and G strings, which would be easy to remove - I may have a go at myself if I get the time. This comes with a unused SB gig bag (no pics as it's in storage and I have been using the mono, but it's this model https://www.thomann.de/gb/sandberg_gigbag_493951.htm?utm_source=shopzilla&utm_medium=psm&utm_campaign=shopzilla-gb), diMarzio straplock strap attached and the original strap buttons thrown in. Open to offers. No trades please, unless you've got a Fender P to offer... but be warned I am quite fussy. Cash on collection preferred, i'm really reluctant to ship this. I'm based in Witney, West Oxon, but work in South Oxon and am willing to discuss delivery for petrol money. Any questions/requests for more pictures, just shout.
  11. I bought a brand new Sandberg VS4 last year as a present to myself... did months of research, paid up, did months of waiting, got it, was blown away by it... but I don't "love it"... I have no idea why. Every time I look at it, it doesn't make me want to pick it up and play it, whereas my old Precision was the opposite... Now i'm looking at new P basses. When will I learn...
  12. slightly off topic... did you buy this from a guy down southampton/winchester way? I sold mine a few years ago and recognise some of the scars... in any case, GLWTS, monster bass at a bargain price.
  13. i have this same spec Sandberg and it's unbelievable...GLWTS
  14. picked up my VS4 today after a 6 month wait, and have been playing it all afternoon through my Ashdown tonepocket. It really is a stunning instrument - the build quality is flawless and it plays perfectly. The pickup seems quite bright, but i'll wait until rehearsal to judge it fully - the active electronics take a bit of tweaking, but i'm sure i'll get used to it. The Pau Ferro board has some nice swirls, the bridge looks great - everything feels solid. Overall, worth the wait and very happy with it
  15. if there was a way to get to London in the current lockdown i'd be all over this. used to have a cn212 and sorely regret selling it. if it's still avaible after 2nd December i'll be in touch! GLWTS
  16. Sandberg California VS4... ordered in June as a lockdown/promotion at work present, due week 52 so i'm counting down the days. Ashdown Tone Pocket - great for rehearsal but battery life is shocking. Got my eye on a Berg Cn212 to replace the one i stupidly sold a few years ago... I hope the lockdown stops before I pull the trigger.
  17. A few months ago I had a wave of new bass GAS that i haven't felt in years, so after trying one out in Bass Direct I ordered a custom built VS4 last month (nothing too flashy, just sunburst/tort combo that I couldn't find anywhere in stock)... I cannot wait. However, it won't be ready until Week 52 (ie Christmas). Does anyone have any idea if it could be finished sooner, or do I have to curb my impatience Side note - I work for the GB subsidary of a German company, and if my experience is anything to go by the answer will be a resounding Nein.
  18. My go to bass that has kept me gas free for 6 years since I bought it from @Lozz196 Classic 70's Precision, with a Badass II, SPB-3 pickups and a Tort pickguard, jazz bass knobs. Currently debating whether to add in a Tonestyler. Love this thing.
  19. Orange OB1 300 combo, bought in January. Never got around to doing a NAD thread so here it is. I feel like i've gone full circle... 1x15 trace combo > class D head, neo cab > all valve head and 4x10 cab > 1x15 orange combo. It's not "light" (30kgs) but definitely managable, sounds fantastic, and has all the power i'll ever need. The two channels make it a lot of fun to play around with too. Sounds brilliant with my P but has also caused me to fall in love with my J again (pictured) Okay, maybe I should do that NAD thread, just a year later!?
  20. sorry to hear it Lozz. I have seen Knock Off a few times and you guys were awesome and your playing was on point. Good luck mate
