    I clean my fretboard every time I change strings, which is depending on how many gigs I'm doing with that particular bass. I'm gonna be doing 4 gigs a week from about a months' time, so it'll be a new set of strings every other week probably.

    I think every kind of musician can be flakey and unreliable at times. And I know i've given bullshit reasons for quitting bands in the past a couple of times, its like that "its not you its me" rubbish when you bin someone, when it all honesty its them, you just don't have the balls/anger/merciless tempremant to tell them. If we all went round saying "well thanks for the last few months, but to be honest I find your music pretty boring and I can't put up with your pathetic egos and inability to listen to anybody else" then we'd all be labelled as @sshole$. (Albeit honest ones.)

    I use these and think they're great, nice and easy and comes with a little fret-guide thing to put over your fretboard to precisely polish the frets. These are usually about £5 plus P+P, these guys are doing them for £3.25 delivered. Absolute steal.     I can play a few things, but give me a Cult song to learn and watch me flounder. For some reason I just can never remember those boring plodding-along 3 or 4 notes that make up pretty much every Cult song. Oh, and Rhythm Stick makes my hands hurt too.

    Best of luck with this Bazza, really wanted to be a part of both this and the Journey group but moving to China has but the brakes on that one! And for everyone else to know, Baz is a great guy and something really good could come of this.

    Im venturing into the world of hats because of prementioned pate reasons (getting a bit baldy now I'm 34!) But this season I'll mostly be wearing bandanas as I'm going to live in China in a few weeks, playing 4 gigs a week, and it hits a warm 37 degrees usually there for the summer so it'll help keep the sweat outta my eyes!

    The amount of times I hear other bassists say they just can't play my basses because the action is too low... I play with a really light touch though so I don't get fret buzz, but give it to anyone else and it sounds bloody horrible.

    Those FretFX LED's look the business, I was gonna invest in some myself in the future but didn't know how well they actually fixed to a bass and if they stayed where they're meant to, are they good mate? ...and bump for a nice cracking looking bass

    I'll get better photos up in the next couple of days, just got to go pick it up from storage. The short and skinny is that I'm moving to China in about 3 weeks to join a clubs resident band, and I need a compact, robust, good sounding multi-fx pedal. I'll be playing anything up to around 300 different songs from Metallica/System of a Down to T-Connection/Carwash/Commitments type material, so it needs to be flexible and tough as old boots. SO.... I'm looking to trade my Sansamp Bass Driver Deluxe for multi FX with possible cash adjustment. This is the 6-channel bad boy, with 2 instrument inputs so you can assign 3 channels for each bass, or all 6 channels for just one bass. Everyone knows how amazing these are, many bassists won't even play without using them live, and this is the best in the range. I've gigged mine quite a few times, but its still in excellent condition and comes boxed with the instructions. Its got some velcro on the bottom which I can either remove or leave on for the next owner. (If normal ones go for around £110 and the three channel ones for around £140/£150...) The multi will need to have its own power supply, and if it comes with a carry case all the better.
