Total Watts

  1. If only. Nope, just death rays (direct quote from a doctor on an Intensive Care ward I visited)
  2. Hi BCers.... In the process of re-evaluating the herd and considering a one-size-fits-all solution to thin down. Wondering if anyone has hands-on experience of the new multi-tonal Fluence pickups? Playing a range of styles, mostly play J sounding instruments live but have enjoyed recording and borrowing TB/MM for recording. My 7 year old has a mini P and I'm really digging that sound too. Diolch! Happy St David's Day/Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus
  3. Your avatar is very physics related - I work with the centrepiece of it!
  4. My MS60B is on a pedalboard with an isolated power supply for the other 4 pedals. I have an MS50G for church guitar playing, which sometimes is on it's own with a single PSU, sometimes on a board with an 8 way unit. Found AAs get a little unreliable, never know when they will just cease!
  5. Noswaith dda bass players. Sorry for many years of radio silence! South Wales based bass player of 25 years, originally started on trumpet! Mixed session work as a side hustle from university academic day job. Previously in rock bands, soul bands, orchestras and show pits. Main gigs these days are with a husband-and-wife americana duo The Goudies on a DIY fretless Jazz; with local church organisations and and school/amateur musicals on a Sire V7 or a 7 string. Used to play loads of EUB (Zeta 5 string) but not so much since COVID. Switched from Eden Metro combo pre covid to Ashdown and separate cabs....kind of full circle from my early 20s. Nice to be back and absorb the wit and wisdom of BC!
  6. To be honest you can get away with a very good set of wired headphones if just used occasionally - but there is a significant sound difference. I have had both inexpensive £35 IEM headphones from Amazon and some Sony phone earbuds as spares in my bag during the past. IEMs do help the sound team in church as often the acoustics make stage amps a challenge. Also worth putting even cheaper microphones as off stage or congregation units. It does rely on more planning....
  7. Just starting to use a similar setup - Vong into EQ, into MS60B, into MXR M80 and a looper! Great minds.
  8. Recent returner to Ashdown - used to have an RPM1. Recently bought a SH ABM 500 Evo iii. How I missed that sound!
  9. Regular MS60B v1 user; even has MIDI controllability (is that a word?). If the new version is an upgrade and the buttons are toe-able...interesting. That said I bought a NinjaFox Wingman attachment for mine: https://ninjafoxengineering.com/products/wingman
  10. Just returned to BC after a long hiatus. Read this thread in it's entirety! Loving it.
  11. [attachment=116126:dean0505.jpg] 2003 Dean Edge Q5; blue quilted maple body. EMG Hz pickups; Maple/Walnut/Rosewood neck, standard hardware, Grover tuners. Love the instrument but been overtaken by my Fender Marcus Miller, my rebuilt custom Jazz and a 7-string present from the wife! [attachment=116127:dean-eq5.jpg] £300 ono
  12. Well, seen as he doesn't already have one... Just sold my Ashdown RPM1 to Plankspanker; top guy. Great to deal with! Cheers matey, hope you enjoy the pre.
