1. Hello and welcome Great links already provided.
 2.
I do sometimes when I can find some TAB but they are always more complex.. I haven't done any transcribing yet :-0
Internet tabs are often rubbish. You should give transcribing a go Paul! All I do is listen to the track, and work out the root notes first.....I have a notepad at the side of me to jot them down. Then once I have my root note "starter for ten" I go back through the tracks trying to work out the lines in the different passages. I don't worry about getting it note for note the majority of the time, it's more about getting the feel and something that serves the song.... I suppose you could make it as easy or complex as you like! Nothing ventured, nothing gained I always find it rewarding when I work out a line myself rather than rely on outside influences
 3.
and I won't be getting a bassline or two from Mr Ace until Saturday :-0
Stop cheating and work them out yourself
 4.
In the context of F major, Gm Cm F D can be thought of as II-v-I-VI first three chords are close a ii-V-I progression (change Cm to C7 by raising the Eb to E natural and addind a flat 7th (Bb)), and changing the Dmaj to Dm would give you the vi chord in Fmajor, so what you have is a modified vi-ii-V-I turnaround (a common progression), which (I assume) your cycling round, but starting on the ii.
*Head explodes!*
 5. Nah, having the desire to make teenage girls scream is not on the top of my To Do list

 9. A lovely idea
 10. My main bass is worth less than £300!!! However, it plays like a dream and I'm very attached to it.... If anything happened to it, I'd be gutted.
 11.
What is worse is it was my composition and we recorded it less that six months ago.
You are either composing too much or need to up the memory exercises Fab story though, made me smile
 12.
I prefer the Pink Floyd "13 channels of sh*t on the TV to choose from" but there again I would

It was no better in the 70s. According to Pink Floyd...
I'd beat you to it kiddo

 14.
Bruce Springsteen has it right, 57 channels and there's nothing on.
I prefer the Pink Floyd "13 channels of sh*t on the TV to choose from" but there again I would
 15.
Oh and I also spend lots of time stalking ebay / gumtree for amps that I'll never buy. That's okay, right?
Okay? It's pretty much compulsory Of course now you have the for sale sections here.....very dangerous viewing
 16. Hello and welcome
 17. Lovely feel and tone to the piece Steve I like it
 18.
what disturbs me quite a bit actually is the number of people i know, who i would describe as educated and rational, continue to hold a rabid fanaticism for this show (and other drivel of the same ilk) while there is a sizeable contingent of the populace such as us discerning basschatters who will quite happily feed it to the hounds for sunday afternoon entertainment, the aforementioned rabid types still claim that they 'see the joke' but nonehteless continue to salivate and froth at the mouth everytime this slime oozes forth from the idiot lantern?
What disturbs me more is when people ask "So are you going to enter Britains got Talent"..... "Um no, as I'd like to think I actually have a bit of talent on the bass!" I gave up with reality programmes a long time ago. Hate the things.
 19. What a waste of good eggs.... If she knew how hard hens work to lay them, she'd have thrown tomatoes instead
 20.
That can't be you... that bass only has 4 strings! (Or are there 8 hidden around the back that I can't see? )
Get out of my head Milty.... I was about to say that
 21. Gig now cancelled.
 22. Hiya Dave, Did you find out about the projections and circular screen from your MD? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post details on the thread. Debs
 23. Hiya Ian, You have a nose around and get to know the place Should add though that you haven't joined the dark side..... Youve finally seen the light Welcome!
 24.
Tempted to have a go myself this month - but it will definitely be an instrumental. Great pic, btw.
Do it
 25. I've never rated either brother.... However, Noel is the better of the two. I never really "got" Oasis, I never found them to be that talented or original. Now the Mike Flowers Pop cover of wonderwall I thought was genius
