  1. This pickup is from a 1983 4001 which was split several years ago. I've been using it in my faker for several months and was happy with all the classic Ric tones that it gave me. I've taken pictures but will have to email as i can't seem to upload them I'm looking for £45
  2. +1 for Lakland but an instrument is only going to be as good as the amount of money the manufacturer is will to spend on each instrument.
  3. Mmmmm, lovely bass. Shame my Ric is only a faker even if all the parts are OEM Ric
  4. I've got one of these, it's shocking how light and easy to move around they are for a large cab
  5. Two Peavey Pro-sub bass bins. 500 watt progam 4 ohms £30 each or both for £50 Collection would be good but i'm willing to deliver for fuel money. Pictures posted asap
  6. The bass i have is also a faker so genuine parts would be nice but if non genuine parts sound better or have the same quality for less then they'll be the ones i'll go for. Beedster i've been keeping a keen eye on your faker, sadly i don't have £450, if i did then it wouldn't be until the end of the month but the parts i'd be more than interested in
  7. I'm looking for a wiring harness to fit in whats trying to be a rickenbacker 4001. Rickysounds are wanting to charge £90ish for a harness without jacks or £165! for one with. Any ideas where i could get one without removing a limb to pay for it.
  8. I wish my relic'd car was worth more than a new one
  9. What make are the speakers? If they're JBLs then they'll be worth pulling out the cabinet and selling
  10. I've been drooling over this for the past few weeks, sadly September is a really slow month gigwise
  11. Toledo Steel are looking for gigs, we're based in Southampton but happy to gig anywhere given the chance. If you're in a metal/rock band and looking for support then get in contact. https://www.facebook.com/toledosteelband
  12. I'd be more than happy to use any of the newer class d amps as they'll all sound like my hands and my bass with various eq curves added. Every gig i play has a DI box before the amp, so the amp is only acting as a monitor and gives me the tone i need for the situation/venue and not always the tone i like. As much as i LOVE my valve amps and take them to every gig i play i also take a top quality DI with hopes that the soundman is in a good mood and knows his job
  13. I've been looking for a tatty 5 string version after buying a Warmoth body that'll only fit Fender 5 string neck made before a certain date, sadly i don't know what that date is.....
  14. I'll add some pictures tomorrow but i'm certainly interested in any trades anyone has to offer
  15. Really nice looking Vox cabinet, if you could give me a price then i'll start convincing my girlfriend i need another speaker cab as the room full i already have isn't enough. I'm using two Fender valve heads, one a Studio bass which looks like a blackface bassman from a distance and a silverface bassman so having a cabinets wide enough to fit them on top is a consideration. Thanks for the link to the grill cloth, I was going to give my son of bertha cab a 60's facelift.
  16. I'm part of a 60's tribute band, mainly playing british invasion type material and so really need a cab that looks the part but also sounds quite hifi as i also play a double bass in the 50's half of the set. I've been looking at the new Ampeg portaflex 15's but didn't know if anyone had suggestions.
  17. I'd certainly be interested in trades, depending on what you were offering. I've just bought a second bassman 100 so i was after either cabinets like an Ampeg 410 and 115 with cash from me but anything similar would be good or a small amp with good valve tone like an RS450/Terrorbass
  18. very tempted by this, if it's still here next weekend i'll have it
  19. Depending on the gig i'd take my double bass and Warmoth jazz 5, don't really like to think about the value as no one has ever taken any interest what my gear is
  20. Keeping this after coming to my senses and realising how good these amps are
  21. Just found this jem http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Blackface-Schematics-Twin-Super-Deluxe-Bassman-/190451510086?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c57cb6b46 Odd how shipping for a pdf can be £23.86
  22. If NASA was to make a bass it be amazing,
  23. Anyone own one of these? They look good for a £250 bass and with new pickups/bridge/tuners/electronics/covers they'd look and sound vintage but with the parts costing £500ish would it just be another very average bass with expensive hardware?
