  2. I've been looking for a tatty 5 string version after buying a Warmoth body that'll only fit Fender 5 string neck made before a certain date, sadly i don't know what that date is.....

  4. I'll add some pictures tomorrow but i'm certainly interested in any trades anyone has to offer
  5. Really nice looking Vox cabinet, if you could give me a price then i'll start convincing my girlfriend i need another speaker cab as the room full i already have isn't enough. I'm using two Fender valve heads, one a Studio bass which looks like a blackface bassman from a distance and a silverface bassman so having a cabinets wide enough to fit them on top is a consideration. Thanks for the link to the grill cloth, I was going to give my son of bertha cab a 60's facelift.
  6. I'm part of a 60's tribute band, mainly playing british invasion type material and so really need a cab that looks the part but also sounds quite hifi as i also play a double bass in the 50's half of the set. I've been looking at the new Ampeg portaflex 15's but didn't know if anyone had suggestions.
  7. I'd certainly be interested in trades, depending on what you were offering. I've just bought a second bassman 100 so i was after either cabinets like an Ampeg 410 and 115 with cash from me but anything similar would be good or a small amp with good valve tone like an RS450/Terrorbass
  8. very tempted by this, if it's still here next weekend i'll have it
  9. Depending on the gig i'd take my double bass and Warmoth jazz 5, don't really like to think about the value as no one has ever taken any interest what my gear is
  10. Keeping this after coming to my senses and realising how good these amps are
  11. Just found this jem http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Blackface-Schematics-Twin-Super-Deluxe-Bassman-/190451510086?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c57cb6b46 Odd how shipping for a pdf can be £23.86
  12. If NASA was to make a bass it be amazing,
  13. Anyone own one of these? They look good for a £250 bass and with new pickups/bridge/tuners/electronics/covers they'd look and sound vintage but with the parts costing £500ish would it just be another very average bass with expensive hardware?
  14. What model of EV is it? Also what are the dimensions and weight?

  18. Don't know if anyone else has seen these and wondered why they can sell a neck without a body? Or even own one and can say which body they've fitted it to. It looks like it'd fit a standard usa 5 but with the difference in inches from imperial to american i'm not quite sure. I certainly won't be buying it from Allparts UK, for £300ish i could get one from Warmoth including the shipping and finish or not with ceratin woods and know which body i can fit on
  19. Warmoth is expensive, and i hate to sound like a fanboy but they are well worth it for a dream bass type build, Allparts are about the same but with less choice. USACG are another american custom guitar parts maker, or musikraft. In the UK Simms make parts, or some luthier will but the price is never less than importing one from american when you include finishing. Mighty mite are quite cheap and not bad quality but then neither are the Fender necks and bodies that are sold by thestratosphere on ebay. I've bought lots of parts from them and not had a problem.

  21. Thats the chap, but from; [email protected] Real shame as a second Studio bass would be ideal but they're like hens teeth. Oddly enough i've owned two and seen a third all from the same shop.
  22. He was from Spain, new member on here and he deleted the message so i can't report him. I've asked him to take pictures of the amp with his email written on a piece of paper in clear view next to or on the amp. If he responds with this then i'll keep his email address private, if not then i'll post it on here
  23. Just got offered the amp i've been after for years, very rare vintage Fender type from the 70's. Looking on Google images out of interest I found the same picture. Has anyone else had the same problem?

  25. Good to see one of these in the UK, and not too far off being local, may have to come and see it in the flesh if you're ever Hampshire way
