  1. I went to a gig last night, the venue must have been about 1500 people max. After watching the main support play with a very nice looking backline of white EVH stacks and SWR 8x10s the roadies removed it all and didn't replace it with anything. I'm guessing the headliners were using either amps mic'ed backstage or something like Fractal Audio Axe-Fx with in ears. More and more touring guitarist seem to be switching over to Fractals or version of because of the ability to sound the same from gig to gig, the bass player from Meshuggah uses a Fractal but do any others use similar devices? and if so which ones? Line 6 did bass modeling amps but have discontinued them i'm guessing through poor sales.

  8. This dates back to February 1976 and considered rare. It's 8 ohms and 50 watts and yet still very loud, works really well for guitar or lower volume bass gigs. Pictures to follow shortly
  9. I'm taking this off the market, i'll leave the ad up until Wednesday so if anyone has ideas on trades then now is the time to message me

  12. Howard, what a top bloke. Sent me two!! tuner bushings and saved me £40+ on a new set of tuners. Thank you so much
  13. Last bump before i take this off sale/trade on Sunday
  14. Oddly enough i tried a Tiny Terror through an Ashdown 4x10 about 18 months ago in a local music shop and really got on with the sound. For a 15 watt amp it stayed cleanish far longer than i thought it would but that was with stock version, with several tweaks and a good quality 1x15 i'm sure i could have gigged with it for low volume gigs. I do like power amp distortion over preamp because of it's extra body which could be who i don't get on well with pedals so maybe i should give a TT another go

  17. Thanks for the suggestions Lewis. I've tried quite a few distortion pedals, several different bass ones and some really great sounding guitar ones but none of them compared with a real amp. I heard quite a few bass played who have used guitar amps for distortion, both Jason Newsted and Robert Trujillo used an SVT for bass tone then a Marshall for distorted tones. John Wetton used an overdriven Hiwatt through a 4x12 for an amazing distorted tone with King Crimson and it's certainly not uncommon to mix a DI and overdriven Marshall or Mesa through a 4x12 in the studio so why not live? It's certainly much easier to hear and isn't lacking in low end because of the DI

  19. I'll leave this up for another week then keep it as having a valve amp with solid state reliability isn't something to be sniffed at
  20. I've got one of these, the person i got it off said it was for his Aria but i use it for my Lakland
