Hey everyone I'm new here so please be gentle! I was trying to post a picture in the dog thread using attachments and the pictures were all incredably small with black borders no matter how much I resized them the black box wouldnt change size. I read another post that said to use picasa or other image hosting sites.I uploaded the image to picasa and copyed the html link and put it in img codes and it wouldnt accept the html link for some reason any help would be most appreciated.
Those are thumbnails - clicking on them opens up a new window with full size versions

Am I allowed to post a link for this even though its on eBay? If its not correct BC etiquette - sorry  Yamaha Bass Magicstomp pedal UB-99B This ends tomorrow. The pedal is boxed and in top condition, it has brilliant sounds and it can load up patches for the guitar and acoustic versions as well as the bass one.

I have Thomastik JF324 flatties on my CIJ reissue mustang. They only come in a floppy light guage so they are very fast & easy to play. They sound perfect - deep and huge. If anything the short scale makes them slightly darker sounding than comparable 34" strings on precison as far as I can tell.

I have a pair of Kent Armstrong jazz lipsticks in my j-retro equipped highway 1 jazz. Great pickups.
they are lookalike gimmicks which retro freaks like to have they add weight and get in the way
[s]utter bollocks[/s] I beg to differ. I'm most comfortable if I can rest my hand on the cover and play in the same way James Jamerson did (but without the virtuosity)

the irons from maplins are OK but the crappy lead-free solder they sell doesn't flow. I'm in south london if anyone needs anything melted.

Why oh why? Hideous custom body, Jazz neck mutant
Jean-Luc Pickguard replied to Clarky's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Nice neck though.
That's what I though until I saw the back was painted black with a brush Those tuners look a bit aftermarket to me as well. Fcuk me! it looks like it could have been David Blunkett's junior school woodwork project -
I've always liked the idea of having dockable pedals so they'd mount straight into a docked pedal board (or single dock enclosures for indivdual units) that connected up just through docking.
Line 6 did something along those lines I think -
Wow, interesting. I've been wary of their spam ever since I encountered their sales guys in the Leeds shop back in the early '90s. That aside, I wonder how much they actually pay for the goodies they seem to acquire; they can't all be commissions.
Offered my £200 for an '85 MIJ tokai flying vee (inc flight case) which would have sold in the shop for £600+ without the case. iirc I sold it privately for £550 the following week via loot

Is this the nicest bass ever made ?

I had an uberhorn once. After going to a works party where I was drinking pints of red bull all night. -
Who's man enough for a pink bass?
Call that a pink bass? Nah - this is a pink bass: And yes, I would. Hell yeah. Jon.
I'm supposed to be thinning out the herd - not getting gas for new basses. I love daisyrocks - I bought one of these for myself after my daughter refused to let me borrow hers - I was surprised to win it after placing a lowball bid though. She wants to put her purple heartbreaker bass on eBay as well, but I don't think its worth doing for the meagre price they go for at the moment. -

It'll hurt to see it go, but apparently I 'have too many basses'. Whatever that means. My lovely 1997 Shell Pink Squier Vista musicmaster bass isn't getting much use since I got my mustang, so its up on eBay. Another one then - a new model in the Little Mark range with a growl control to add some valve-like grit (but not necessarily from a valve) also with a limiter built-in. -

I'd check the relief first before diddling with the bridge. Most basses need a truss rod tweak twice a year when the seasons change. I can't remember when I last tweaked my short scales though, but the long scales certainly change with the weather.

Jazz basses including basses insired by jazzes. Give me Precision or mustang any day. Roundwound strings Any Rotosound strings Any music software running on a PC straplocks never found any that work properly except ones from Grolsch bottles or shower hose washers. Pleckies - Nah I won't go there. I'll just say they're not for me and we'll leave it at that.
Wouldn't it be better with one of these? That way people who don't ever want to use Apple (me) could use it.
Nah - you can just use a pocket pod or something for that. Prefer less cables so I can pick it up with one hand with headphones & bass plugged in and when I put it down it stays where I put it with the screen & controls facing where I want them to. Maybe it should have an extra 1/8" input for the poor sods using non iPod MP3 players as well. (although iPods only work properly if they're syncing with iTunes on Macs - iTunes on windows is just as annoying to use as anything else on Windows.) -
Something that I would definitely want to buy if it existed. I'd like something like this: to fit one of these: With the features of this: But the sounds of this: So a tough battery powered/rechargable ipod dock that holds the iPod securely with headphone & stereo phono outs & also also charges the iPod (if its plugged into the mains) This would enable me to practice the songs I'm learning & mix the backing track with bass amp & fx modelling including a decent fliptop tone into headphones. If someone can make one of these for £100 I'll be first in the queue. What else (bass-related) doesn't exist yet but should?
