3. Hey guys, I've decided to sell my Brice 6 string bass. It's a short scale 24 fret bass (think it's about 33", might be wrong). Great bass that plays very nicely and has a good tone to it. There are a few issues with it, the top one being the fact that I accidentally tore the battery out of the bass during a gig. However, the bass can still be used as it can be switched between active and passive modes. The only other issues with the bass are that it's been knocked around a fair bit and has the scars to prove it. The battery issue should be easy enough to fix by someone with any skill with electricals at all (of which I have none) as all you need to do is solder in some new battery leads and you're sorted. I'll post pictures later today, when I get home. I'm looking for around £130 for it, as they cost £170 new, but they need to be brought over from America, which is a real ballache. Postage is not included, but collection or delivery (within a reasonable distance from chellaston/derby) is possible. Zach

5.
Hey Zac Haha, after I wouldn't let you steal it at the gig at least you're interested in a more legal method of getting it then. Glad you liked it, good luck with your dad. Glad to see you're still using my old Brice, did you ever fit the EMGs?
Well, I'm just saying it so I can get to it easier ;P I never actually got round to it, I'm pretty sure they're still knocking about somewhere in my house :')
6. I use a Line 6 M9 multi, which I use for pretty much everything. Effects that I use are fuzz, distortion, chorus, reverb, delay and some eq's, and every now and again some filters. I use them because I think that they make my sound more appropriate for the song, for instance my band covers one song which is mainly synth based, so I use a sub octave distortion with the gain quite low combined with a chorus and reverb so I get a more synth like sound. For me it's all about making changes that fit the song, not changes because you feel like it or you want to look cool.
7. DR Jonas Hellborg strings are a unique design, but I'm unaware of any other strings that are actually designed by the artist, rather than just being a custom gauge set.

9. I use a Dimarzio Cliplock strap which is very comfy and spreads the weight over the 3 inch area it takes up on my shoulder. I also used a DSL leather strap, one of the Motorhead signature ones, as well as a Planet Waves strap, I forget which one, but it was very long, which a buckle at each end, equally good at spreading the weight out.
10. I use Dimarzio cliplock straps, which are very comfortable, but I think I'll be moving to Dunlops with Planter Waves straps soon, as the Dimarzio can be a little short for me, sometimes, and if I forget my strap then I'm knackered.
11. Line 6 Relay G30. Payed £250 for it a couple of months back, batteries only died last night. I also walked out of the shop with it about 30 or so metres before the called to say it cut out completely (this was with the door closed and the reciever at the back of the room). I also taped the reciever to my strap with electricians tape, strap problem solved. I'd get a different lead though, A right angle to straight for convenience. Zach

Line6 M13

I run an M9, it's little brother, it's a brilliant piece of equipment. Distortions, EQ's, Comps, Verbs and Delays are great, not really sold on the Filters though. I recommend you have a play with it and see if it works for you though. I also found it strange at first, getting used to the automatic switching between FX units, but now it's extremely beneficial, and lets me move through effects a lot quicker now. Zach
13.
I think the fact that everyone that loves them runs them nearly flat speaks for it's self. Like I said in my last post, they colour the tone a lot and give it a distinctive "GK" sound. So I guess it comes down to whether or not you like that tone. If you do, buy one and you'll probably run it with a flat EQ and tweak to taste. If you don't like it, you probably never will, even with the most comprehensive EQ in the world. One thing you can't argue with is the build quality (at least of the artist series, which is all I've really used). They're built like tanks. Best thing the OP can do is go find one and give it a play, you'll be able to figure out pretty quickly whether or not the tone's for you.
I can second what Thom is saying, when I played a show with JWP and used his amp, literally my entire band said that it was the best my bass had sounded. GK are f*cking awesome to put it bluntly, at least for me, anyway. Zach
14. Quality ad :') You have a PM mate. Zach

18. I'm selling a Korg AX3000B which does pretty alright synthy sounds, with a little bit of tweaking, and you can have 4 presets assigned, then switch to the single fx mode where you can turn individual fx on and off. Message me if you're interested. Zach
