1. Yeah, he was playing a Fender I think, but he normally plays (and might be endorsed by) Warwick.
2.
dont you like this ? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=142681 i know is a 4 string but it has a passive switch you dont need to put a battery in LOL
I am considering it. Next practice I'll see how well I can get by without using the B string. I get the feeling the limitation of the 4 string may fuel my creativity hen it comes to writing new lines maybe.
3.
It's a shame you're not getting on with it mate, or is it just more GAS? Either way, great bass and a nice guy that I've dealt with a couple of times and both have been quick and easy.
Uhhhhh, a combination of the two It is a shame, but I just think it's time for a change, since I can never seem to be totally happy with one bass Thanks for the recommendation though, much appreciated.
4. As much as it pains me to do this, I feel like I must move this on as I have gotten somewhat tired of active basses. Due to no fault of it's own, I don't really feel like this bass suits my current band well enough to keep it with me. It's in the exact same condition that it was when I purchased it from ThomBassMonkey on here, with the only ding on the very tip of the headstock. Because I can't figure out how to post images on here again (it's been a long time ) here's a link to the original thread: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=dingwall Ideally, I'd rather get a trade for this, preferably a 5 string Fender Jazz standard, as I'm getting tired of active basses, but I will consider pretty much any 5 string bass. Cash wise, I'd be looking for about £800, or offers close to that. Collection preferred, but I may be able to travel, depending on the distance.
5. I use a Line 6 G30, and the transmitter has a belt clip, which I've attached to my strap (Dimarzio Cliplock), and then I used electrical tape to hold the bottom.
6. Have to say The Roots, because they are quite simply the best hip-hop band to ever exist.
7. Closest me and my band have ever come to rehearsing stage moves is deciding on our stage intro 5 minutes before we hit the stage, so no, I've never practiced moves, they just come naturally.
8. I run a line 6 m9, and I don't find the drives lacking at all, for me at least. Plenty of balls to the sound, gain on tap, most have some sort of EQ built in, all good for me.
9.
This would be bloody perfect... I am however in Nottingham. Fail
Indeed, I'm in Derby, and I can't drive yet. Damn you Jack, damn you.
10. Purchased my Dingwall Combustion from Thom, as well as trading a BC Rich Mockingbird bass for his Brice 6 string bass, both times he has been excellent to deal with, no messing around, organized times and days to do the deals, kept to them, overall an excellent BC'er to deal with.
11. To be honest Thom, the Relay systems are becoming something of a standard for wireless systems. If anything, I've found that it can improve tone, assuming of course you aren't using cheap, crappy cables. They really are worth the money, and for someone like yourself, using a rack, I'd try and scrape the cash for a G90, which is the top of the line rackmount version.
12. I think it's ISP who make the Decimator, which also comes in pedal form, and is supposed to be one of the best on the market. I know that they're extremely popular with metal guitarists, who need gating more than anyone really, so that may be worth a shot?
13.
Anyone interested in effects used on bass might like to come along to this gig http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=131894
Sorry dude, I'm actually over at Rock City that night for Hit The Deck festival, but it would have been cool to come see and scope out your gear.
14. I've never really wanted to do any sort of blending with my M9, as I feel the distortions and the effects as a whole are all great. My only problem with it is the lack of some sort of global volume control.
15. Gonna be extremely difficult, if not impossible. There's a thread you should probably look into on here, dubstep Nd drum and bass or something, lots of good advice on there. Would you mind linking me to the sheet music?
