http://www.fractalaudio.com/p-axe-fx-ii-pr...x-processor.php Just discovered this little number which already has an arpeggiator setting plus all the features of my MPXG2 and more processing power. But at US$2600-3000 plus whatever I lose on selling the MPXG2 units, I don't think I'll be buying one soon.
If that one's a bit much, it may be worth checking out the AxeFX Ultra, the previous iteration of that technology. They're discontinued, but still available second hand from people looking to upgrade to the AxeFX II.
2. Hey guys, my band BuryTheLadybird will be playing at Nottingham Rock City this coming Saturday (6th) Tickets are £5, and can either be bought online from us here. Alternatively, if you would rather buy a ticket in person, just drop us a message with your number and I can meet you in Nottingham on the day. It'd be great to see a few of the members down there, put names to faces, have a quick chat about things bass, all that jazz
3. Hey guys, apologies if this has been asked before, but I'm looking for an expression pedal that's compatible with a Line 6 M9. As cheap as possible, but I'm willing to pay more for something that can take a beating because I'm not a gentle guy, and I'm pretty heavy. If you've got any recommendations please post them, as I'm sure I'm not the only person looking for a good solution. If you have one that you're willing to sell and you know its compatible, message me and we might be able to work something out.
4. Can't recommend a set of strings personally, but my personal choice would be to mod the bridge, for example, big gig that night but earlier in the day you break a string and have no spares with the smaller ball-ends, so you have to use a set of standard strings with the bigger ball-ends, but they won't fit properly. No idea if it would actually cause any problems, but that'd be my personal choice of action.
5.
If we get these gigs sorted later in the year I'd definitely like to have a play with the Adrenalinn… I'm finding I need to re-think our midi clock generator… The Red Sound Voyager kicks ass but only does 90-180bpm… And I need 80 now! dammit! lol
160 then run everything at 1/2 notes instead? bit of a bodge, but could work. Soon enough my band will be synced up, possibly, by MIDI, although the extra leads may mean we just sync everything up to the click track our drummer will be using and go from there.
6. Hey, my guitarist may be interested in the medium, what are the internal dimensions?
7. Oh damn, if I had the money I would be all over this getting ready for the move to the AxeFX II I guess?
8. So glad I've switched back to 4 strings now
9. I have this problem, but over the course of a few practices I can nail down the levels pretty well, regardless of how much louder/quieter they are than each other, and then I leave it up to the sound man to handle everything. I am extremely dependent on effects, there isn't a single song in my bands set that doesn't involve distortion of some kind, whether it be an overdrive, mild distortion or massive fuzz.
10. Peaches by the stranglers, with varying levels of distortion, and a warning to sound guy that I'm about to use some synth sounds as well. I know this is during our soundcheck, but my band avoids playing anything when we get onstage that isn't the first song.
11. In answer to simultaneous switching, you can sort of do it. What you need to do is when you leave that 'scene' have the effects you want active on, then when you switch back to the scene, those pedals will already be running.
12.
hey man yea it is the bass murf, but it is getting used...i run it through after the line 6 with quite a bit of drive to walm the signal up and for this recording i had one the expression pedals assigned to the mix of the lfo...it was set on minim triplets and was used in the doctor p sweetshop bassline on second drop...u can hear the harmonics on the wobble as i had all the filters up full!! safeeeeeeeeeeee...
I was loving the Doctor P line you were playing in that
13.
They did! I wanted to go see, but oh well, I get to gig with them in about a month's time at The Grapes in Stafford
I knew I recognized that bass! They were really good, although being on the 'stage' they were on didn't do them any justice. My band played earlier that day on the Big Top Stage.
14.
Perhaps not the best shot of yours truly, but you can at least see all of the bass, and that's far more important. Hand-crafted by the incredibly talented Simo of Simnett Guitars, and I couldn't be happier with it. Had the Shuttle 6.0 for a while now and love it dearly. The cab is a new addition to the family (upgraded from a lacklustre Warwick 4x10), and so far I've been nothing short of blown away by it. A bit outdated now - the MultiDrive and the Maxon Compressor are the opposite way round, and the powered pedalboard has given up the ghost so I'm using a Voodoo Labs supply instead. It's incredible how much difference having cleaner, more consistent power makes to your pedals' performance, I might add. Even our drummer noticed, which should pretty much say it all. Oh yeah, Knuckles has been retired too - I needed his space for the amp footswitch once I eventually got round to buying it. Sorry Knuckles.
Did you play at Glastonbudget by any chance?
15. I've got a DSL strap, one of the Motörhead ones, very comfy, no issues at all, so I wholeheartedly recommend them.
16. Front of the amp, just avoid using the amp and cab models. The effects wont sound as good as individual pedals, but the pedal itself is far more versatile.

19.
thanks for your response. im just wondering if you could take them apart and just turn the pegs round, or if there is some component stuck in to prevent this?
To my knowledge, you're fine to do this, as they are just the main part (attached to the tuner head that you turn), the cog and then the baseplate which holds the main part in, so theoretically you should just be alright to unscrew them, pull the main part out, stick it in the other way and it should be fine.
