1. The 1X15 cab is a home made job with a Peavey speaker in. I only paid £50 for it and it does the job of beefing up the 2x10 combo. Im just looking for ideas for what to broaden my search to when/if i get the money to upgrade. Dont get me wrong I dont dislike the rig or sound its just, as most of us do, I would like to improve it over time.
2. I currently use an Ashdown Mag300 evo 2 2x10 combo and generic 1X15 extension cab I also had a while back the full Ashdown mag 300 rig with 4x10 and 1x15 extension cab. At some point I will be wanting to get a bit of a better rig. Ashdown is reasonalbe gear for the price but I dont get the sounds I want. I suffer form the usual ashdown complaint of it being a bit muffled. So my question is if i was to look at a scond rig around the £500-£600 mark what is available and what is recommended. I play in a rock covers band something versatile would be preferred. Any help or views would be appreciated. Cheers
3. Bottom horn looks like a stray peice from a jigsaw!! Rest of it looks nice mind
4. I would say it is a good chance that the active is after market.
5.
Like this ? Im not sure that there was a Squier P with actives as standard, but i may be wrong. http://www.kellyindustries.com/guitars/squ...n_standard.html
That is pretty much it. Two main differences though. It is deffinately active. It has four controls with the bass/treble active control being where the input jack socket is on the picture. The input jack on mine is on the underside
6. I attended a local guitar show yesterday and picked up a nice looking Squier 5 string for a reasonable price Its a Precision with two active jazz pickups. The headstock decal has been replaced with a Fender logo but the rear of the headstock has a genuine logo saying designed by Fender. It was made in Indonesia, it also has a squier neck fixing plate. I have looked for some info on this but can only find info on Jazz active 5 strings! Controls seem to be volume which is push/pull Blend master tone then active for bass and treble Apart from being very noisy when either pickup is selected on its own, it sounds ok. What is the push pull for? Is there anyway to elliminate the noise. Also it does seem to lack a little volume If anyone has any info they can put my way I would be grateful. Cheers
7. Hi is the hipshot still available? Im not too familiar with these. I need to detune quickly from E to D I would imagine this is exactly what this does. I would be interested in taking it off your hands if still available. Cheers
8. I recently got a squire p bass special with a jazz pickup at the bridge. Lovely guitar and well worth the £100 I paid for it second hand. My main intention was to have it as a spare to my Peavey Grind. However I may be in a circumstance soon where I need to use both in a gigging environment and swap between the two. Trouble is the output from the P bass is no where near as powerfull as the Peavey. I know I could uae a A/B pedal and set greater outpu for the P. But I think a pickup change would do a better job So in a nutshell what replacement pups would you recommend to bring the squier upto a more usable level. Has to be reasonable price as I am wallet challenged at the minute.

Line6 M13

Im interested in using the Line6 M13 as an effects unit for bass Is this practical? and if so have any of you got any pointers on good settings to apply. I use it for guitar and find it a great piece of kit. What I would like is a bit EQ, distortion, modualtion and maybe some filter effects. Any ideas Cheers
